Got my eyebrows did. Finally. @theglitterwhore I know Brad and he says you can do amazing color! Gotta get this shit done correct! Not happy with the recent sitch. Anywho, mild headache, waiting for washing machine repair people. Not too hot today in my living room. Thank you sweet baby jesus. Happy Friday y’all. I have one more job later today and some writing to do. Glad to be busy. 🤙🏻hopefully the wisdom tree... #naptime#eyebrowsonfleek#headache#allgood#momlife#badairquality#losangeles#LA#tootiredtohashtag
This really struck a chord with me. It’s been a tough couple of days. Both kids are sick and needy, I’m trying (in vain) not to undo my hard work re attempting to get Thomas to sleep by himself (key word there is ‘attempting’ ... no success yet), and I am myself, utterly exhausted. Reading this helped put it in perspective. I’m going to forget worrying about bad sleep associations, the messy house and the wet washing sitting in the laundry basket waiting to be hung out, instead I’m going to snuggle with my kids, while they still want to! #tootiredtohashtag
Today has hit me like a Monday with something to prove, my only consolation is that it is Wednesday!
Thank goodness for my essential oil spray and coffee.
I absolutely love my Keep Going from @kpurenaturals I spray it on everything!
Keeping it real at the whitehouse... I came in here to fold this pile of laundry.. most of it is not even pictured! I think I’ll slip out of this room, turn off the light and save it for another night!! #atleastallofitisclean#tootiredtohashtag
Sailing back to the Children. Adults stealing all the fun. Debbie and Sophie run off to Pendennis and back with Gorran. My Grand children Kai was sailing it earlier and Freya helped me sail her back to St Mawes harbour on monday night. Mawgan and Luen have been out so only grandchild yet to sail is Aurelie...plenty of time yet
After flying from sea level less than 48 hours ago biking up and down a mountain yesterday, ascending and descending Pacaya Volcano last night, then getting two hours of sleep before trying to hike the Acatenango Volcano this morning, I finally hit a wall. At about 10,000 ft elevation I made an executive decision that finishing the remaining 3 hours of the hike up the volcano wouldn’t be all that bright. The elevation was taking a toll on me and the lack of sleep probably didn’t help matters. So my guide made a few phone calls, drew a map in the dirt for me to follow to get to the bottom of the trail, had his son meet me on the trail, and had a car waiting for the two of us at the bottom. From there we went back to my guides house which is where I am right now. Gonna catch some much needed rest here until they finish the hike. It’s beautiful up here, I got some amazing pics, and I wish I could have finished the hike, but there’s a fine line between stupid and hard. Hey, I gave it my all, but not even my John Muir is My Homeboy “Volcano Shirt”(3 volcanos in 2 countries whilst wearing it) could get me to the top of this one. I guess I’ll chalk this up as a loss. Sean 2 volcanos 1. Haha! But I still has a blast and that’s all that matters. Now time to catch some 💤 P.S. if my last post hadn’t been so ominous I would have just gone straight to sleep, but I didn’t want anyone to think I’d been eaten by the Pacaya volcano. 😂😂😂 #tootiredtohashtag
Today’s harvest. A miracle of God. All of this... from a tiny seed placed into the dirt by my hands that often tremble but also can be sure. And with my mind, that on certain days is full of doubt and on others is full of wonder and delight. I am a fickle woman that God loves. Grateful beyond measure for the Lord’s unending mercy and grace. From top row left going clockwise: Shishito peppers, Cherokee tomatoes picked prior to full ripening, Serrano peppers, dragon egg cucumbers, Parisian cucumbers, Hahms Gelbe tomatoes (yellow) Goldilox tomatoes (orange).....oh yeah...with a patty pan on top. 🤣 #tootiredtohashtag but #luckywelivecolorado
This is going to a tough cycle, but tough is good because I know I will come out of this better than when I went in. All you have to do is throw some pauses in my training and my imbalances really rear their ugly head. Front squats with a 7 sec pause in the bottom and at 15 sec hold at the top (my down sets were sets of 3 with those same holds. I was screaming). Power snatches with a 3 sec hold in the catch. I wanted to build to the yellows today but caught myself diving under the bar to catch it, so I focused on speed and keeping my chest up in my down sets. Power clean complex....blech. The push presses always get me. #strengthguildweightlifting#mastersweightlifting#tootiredtohashtag
Photo from the part of my birthday where I wasn't in bed :) What's your favourite place? Favourite drink? Favourite outfit? Least favourite outfit? Something mediocrely mediocre because why am I only asking for the extremes!? Life is a bucket of grey areas but on here we only seem to see the best and the worst, the light and the dark, sunshine and... Gloomy cloudy rainy things? I quite like rain though so that seems unfair. Never mind. My point is tell me something in the comments from an absolute best to a worst or what you've just been doing which sounds boring but was actually alright. Let's talk about abnormally normal stuff and trick everyone into thinking social media can be an actual realistic representation of life! (I feel as though I should've made my instructions a bit more concise but that wouldn't be true to real life Sakara so let's all act like I rambled for the sake of authenticity.) Leave me a comment about something or other and I'll answer with something vaguely relevant, basically. ~
It's a bottle of pink lemonade which I'm holding (it's a nice glass bottle) on some white tissue paper which is in turn on my skirt (which is actually a dress that I'm wearing but oh well) it (the dress, not the bottle) has a vintage style American looking cartoon pastel car print. Beyond that is SAND. Beyond that is the sea but that's not in the photo sadly (see photo description is giving you an added bonus over the actual photo) on the theme of stuff that's not in the photo it was very sunny with occasional cloud. The wind was chilly at times but nice over all. Sakara's Offical Image Description Plus bundle: comes with backdated weather forcast. (A BEfore-Cast?) ~
I know I will miss them when they go back to school next week, but it’s time. We’ve done all the summer things and everyone needs some routine in their lives. Also, I can’t do anymore words, we’ve said plenty these last 10 weeks. 6 more days of summer, but who’s counting?? All the mommas, that’s who. #tootiredtohashtag
What a day! We had a fantastic crew to work sheep today - getting every single lamb, ewe and ram in the barn and through the chutes.
We bring them in to check their horns and feet to see if anybody needs a trim (sometimes their horns can curl in and grow into their eyes so we trim them!) and give them their yearly vaccinations and ear tag the lambs born this year. Males get a red tag in their left ear and females get an orange tag in their right ear (because girls are always right 😜). Then the lambs get separated from the ewes since it’s time to wean them (many have already naturally weaned since they have horns now and their mothers aren’t ok with that!) so we separate the lambs and rams from the ewes into two groups.
We worked 555 sheep through the chutes today, each one looked at individually and vaccinated and whatever else it might have needed attended to. It was a lot of work! But we had Brian and me and Francie and Maisie, Johnny, Hailey, Hannah (her last day!), Emma (her first day!) and Abby and her Dad Drew who showed up to help too (Libby’s sister and Dad).
The two littlest end of season babies in arms here are old enough to wean but we are keeping them by the house for now for a little extra attention to make sure they transition ok. Everyone else is back out on pasture and looking pretty good and we’re hitting a hard earned lunch at the Burgerhouse!
