On this day it was particularly hot. Too hot to wear pants. | This #mirrorselfie prompted a conversation, with an old friend from high school, about how he wishes he could “just decide not wear pants when it’s hot” outside too. I said he could he just might cause a scene but who cares!? Then the conversation naturally transitioned in taking about what life would be like in a nudist colony and how I want to visit the local nude beach. | #freetogopantsfree#talkingaboutnoodzinsteadofsendingthem
Hannah destroyed one of our couches today and then our AC went out (couldn’t just make it through the last of summer, huh?! 😡) so we took to washing the cars to cool us off. While I’m pouting about the stress of the day, a car drives (read: flies) down our road with windows down and blaring music. Cue: Caroline, who’s sweet little soul looked at me and said “That was so nice of him to share his music with us instead of keeping it just to himself!” 😇 So, moral of the story, I’m just gonna be over here trying to be more like C and see the good in the rough days 💗
For Tuesday's #OOTD let's play a game called, 'Which way should I wear this?' Tucked in or untucked? Guess which way I wore it... My feelings on this one: LOVE this skirt from #TheLimited with its bright green color and drapey, flowy A-line shape. Love the material, the floral embroidery and the ribbon detail at the waist.
The top? An older button up short sleeve dress shirt from either #Express or #OldNavy that I thought went with it because 'hey, it ALSO has ribbon detail on it.' I'm not so sure...the cut says 'I don't need to be tucked in' but the skirt says 'don't cover up my ribbon waistline!' Since i didn't bother to wear a tank under it, I was stuck.
I actually wore it both ways...but it kept coming out so I eventually gave up. But see the difference it makes in my shape? Exactly.
No eyeballs bc then I lost the reason for the pic but look at my stomach... and I wasn’t even mad! I have just really been feeling myself the last week or so. Not where I want to be but starting to love myself 💕 #weightlossjourney#stomachfat#toohotforpants
Today's thought for
Don't be afraid to step outside. (Even with today's heat and humidity reaching over 100...girl, you got this!) I saw this wall inside #ColonieCenter and just had to take today's pic against it. How could one pass up a scenic moment like this?
I was never a girly-girl type and I loathed the color pink - the powdery-pink version most of all. And I think my disdain for wearing white was actually fear.
Although I always owned all these pieces, 2 of them were still new. The #NineWest flats which have a slightly pointed toe (another feature I thought I hated but actually feared) and #TheLimited tank finally both deserved to be worn. I mean, I bought them for a reason, right? (Other than a too-good-to-pass-up sale!) The work shorts were given to me probably 5 years ago by an old friend Kitty.
Oh, the high neck crop top polka dot bralette is new. Got that (&a black one) from #VS for $7.99 with a vision to pair tastefully with certain outfits that called for a little extra coverage and detail. Now I realize whyI never wore this top. I wanted to but didn't know what bra to wear with it.
Because the top was a bit sheer and I had the AC going full blast all day, I had to have this #TheLimited lightweight sweater layer for the office.
Often I feel vain or embarrassed when other people see me posing for a pic. Today I think I may have overcome caring about others' thoughts and feelings silly as I delighted at the backdrop I had before me and actually had a lady smile warmly as she passed by.
She must've thought I was a tourist. I have to admit, I kinda felt like one. And that was fine with me, because I was having fun :) #dailyoutfit#fashionlog#wearwhatyouown#ownwhatyouwear#accessoriesmaketheoutfit#VictoriasSecret#pearls#toohotforpants#enjoyeverymoment#itsthesmallthings
Pants aren't really necessary in Hawaii so it's been a good 6 months, at least, since I've worn these. Alas, it's laundry day so I whipped out these bad boys and I'm loving how much better they fit.
