Make it a December to remember 🎄💛☃️
We had SO much fun this weekend at the @mthoodtinyhouse 🏘🏔 And yes, it really was incredibly tiny...we are talking only 261sqft LOL! Definitely a fun little adventure and something new. We loved making a fire in the fire pit, having hot cocoa and watching Netflix, and driving up the mountain Saturday morning to see the snow and incredible views 🙌🏼✨ Stay tuned for January, because I’ll be visiting their Leavenworth location as well!! 🚙 🏘 💛 #itscolleenk#tinyhouse#petiteretreats#mthood#visitoregon

"I understand how a lot of these veterans ended up where they are," said contractor Mike Wolff. A combat veteran himself, with 14 years in the Marine Corps, he knows too well what it’s like, saying as he fought off tears, "When I first came home from Iraq, I had some significant PTSD.” Adding, “Once a Marine, always a Marine.” He’s now providing 14 #tinyhomes for #veterans at little to no cost for as long as they need it #sonomacounty#homeless#compassion#helpingothers#seasonofgiving ❤️🏘
Made a day trip to good ol' Muskogee, OK to obtain tileboard for the kitchen walls in #theschonschack . Was told this was the nearest place to get exactly what we wanted. It was a 4 hour drive both ways and would just about be the farthest I'd go for tiny house materials. How far is too far for you?
This photo may look like the bus exploded but to us this is a happy photo! It means we finally got to move all of our things into the bus and we will have our first official moved in night tomorrow! It took us a few days to get everything in because we wanted it to be as organized as possible. If you look close enough you can see Ian putting containers under the bed 😂 Also, like 75% of the stuff in this bus belongs to our 2 month old. Good thing we built a lot of storage space. We will do a live bus tour / show all of our storage within the next week or so after we get settled at our current location!
Part of me is convinced that the last home I buy for myself will be a tiny home. There’s just something about tiny homes that SO impresses me! For starters, how do you fit so much style and function into such a small space??? Slightly obsessed. 👀😆 I snuck in a couple container homes at the end because 😍. I think it’s the clever space-saving techniques that have won me over! 🔹 A tiny home is generally less than 500sf, though they can be MUCH smaller. Have you ever seen one on TV or up close and personal? Could you manage living in under 500 sf? #tinyhomes#containerhome
My compadre and I had an opportunity to work on a property today that originally cost approx.$40 million to build. My team leader scheduled us there the whole day. We always want to do the job right the first time with the highest level of quality and customer service that goes above and beyond. The grounds-keeper was from Armenia and extremely helpful as we made the requested system adjustments.
If we rightly invest so much care and resources into our homes, regardless of our socioeconomic status, how much more consideration ought we to give to how we maintain and build up those whose lives we have an opportunity to speak into?
The Warren family sold their house in February this year and hit the road. All they knew, they were headed West!
The past year for the Warren Tribe has been all about family, adventure, reconnecting with nature and spending every day together. Days filled with exploring this incredibly diverse country that we are fortunate to call home. After nine months travelling Oz with their young family they’ve truly settled into life on the road, having found their own rhythm, so we caught up with Kelly, Glenn, and their four children, Finley (12), Marlow (7), Harper (5) and Sunnie (3). Leaving the comfort and security of life in Victoria and venturing into the unknown with their young family, the Warren tribe have some helpful advice for others considering packing up and doing the grand lap around Oz.

I had to take pictures this evening up on THE MOUNTAIN OF REST here on the #joel2blessing think 10 years ago I lost 20 acres to bankruptcy but God restored the exact house, land in 2016 and I now own 60 acres. Remember God will do it for you but start really been thankful for the small things in your life. This works if you will work it!! Joel 2:24 And plenty of food for your body - silos full of grain, casks of wine and barrels of olive oil. 25 "I'll make up for the years of the locust, the great locust devastation - Locusts savage, locusts deadly, fierce locusts, locusts of doom, That great locust invasion I sent your way. 26 You'll eat your fill of good food. You'll be full of praises to your God, The God who has set you back on your heels in wonder. Never again will my people be despised.(Message Bible) #cabin#cabinlife#loghomes#tinyhomes#kentucky
#CNNHeroes is an annual award show that highlights everyday heroes. There’s 10 finalists and they are all amazing. The man pictured about, Chris Stout, provides #tinyhomes for homeless veterans and connects them with other vital services. I was so excited to see this on CNN Heroes! You can donate to his cause (and any of the other heroes) at www.cnnheroes.com

With only a few weeks left of this year, I've got some big changes to make.
I'm determined that 2019 is where I'm going to throw EVERYTHING at trying to make the life I want.
There's a lot to do, but I'm very determined. A blog / website and maybe a Patreon if I get brave enough to ask.
Meanwhile... this festive foxy needs finishing and ive decided to gift him to someone from Instagram.
You've all been so supportive and you are going to be key to helping me work out a future direction.
When I get to 1000 followers, I'm going to do a give away for this original painting.
Maybe it will be by Christmas... maybe it'll take ages and you'll have him in time for next year!
In the meantime... THANK YOU for all your likes, follow a and comments so far. Please do feel free to tag or share with anyone you think might be interested in seeing what I get up to next year!
More festive Housebox pictures coming soon... plus a chance to follow the progress in this little guy.
Working on our new 84 sq ft guest bedroom with two pups as our guests 😁😁😁. Adding a Brimnes double bed in white from @ikeacanada, which comes with under the bed storage. Also adding a chest of drawers for our seasonal clothes and a side stool/bench for our guests to throw their bags/carry-on. Everything in this space to be done by Xmas Eve so that @jennlee91 can give it a test run. Just ordered a Sealy Postropedic from @sleepcountrycan arriving this Thursday!
