I'm back home after being up the road for some super sweet sessions with some super cute families! Now to work I go! I'm SO grateful for all the amazing families I get to work with, and I especially appreciate everyone's patience during this crazy busy time of the year. There will be tons of galleries going out soon, but in the meantime, I'll keep sharing sneak peeks to tide you over. Cheers! #luluedwardmama#luluedwardweeone#marylandnewbornphotographer#somdphotographer#luluedwardphotography

Just look at my gorgeous tiny preemie baby. It honestly feels like yesterday, where have those 17 years gone? @finlay.av
Such a lot to thank the #nhs for.
Happy Due Date To Me 💙
Didn't think 3 days after taking what turned out to be my last bump selfie that our little boy would make an early appearance 👶🏻 time is flying by so fast treasuring ever little moment 🌍 #family#life#love ##tinybaby#newbaby#newmummy
A year ago today we finished Inkas tiny little nursery. She didn’t sleep in it for another 6 months or so, but when she was born it became so important to me that we created her a space In our home that was just for her. It really mattered to me that she was here but we hadn’t finished her nursery (or even started) so my super husband set to work evenings and weekends from when she came home from hospital and transformed our little box room - tiny room perfect for our tiny baby! Made me so happy seeing this finished a year ago. She finally had own space in this world. .
So, for those of you who don’t know, I have started a new blog to document Arlo’s journey from NICU, to home, and beyond! "They gave me some diamorphine around 4.45am (I'd always wanted a med-free labour...but this wasn't my labour, right?)..." I decided that one of my first blog posts would be about the days running up to Arlo's birth, and the crazy event that was the birth itself!
I'd always said I wanted a hypno-birthing, water birth; no pain relief (maybe some gas and air...!), Daddy to catch the baby, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin...well, it couldn't be much further from what happened!
Go take a look at the link in my bio 😊💙 We’re at that point in Arlo’s SCBU journey where it all feels like a waiting game 🤦🏻♀️ The doctors wanted to move him off the hot cot - GREAT! One of the three main goals we need to hit for home-coming is for him to be in a normal cot for 48 hours. The catch? He has to hit 1.6kg (second goal of three!) before they’ll even let him try, even though he’s successfully maintaining his body temperature 🙄🙃 Patience is a virtue...and one which I do not possess 😂💙
