This is what I did for my birthday yesterday. I went and threw axes! By far the coolest thing I have done in a long time. Battle axe SD is awesome.
They let me hold a real Viking axe, and let me wear silly props for when I made my first bullseye. Thrilled to have been apart of it.

So I am sitting at home, kinda frustrated because there is a HEAP of work to be done and I don't know how I'm gonna finish it all.
I was supposed to take a quick "nap" last night, work out and then work through the night. Guess what? My nap extended till 4 am TODAY.
I was mad that I allowed myself to sleep when I had so much to do!
I called up my mom, I talked to my friends and prayed and suddenly, I had a grip over my anxiety!
Then, I get a call from my friend @arundhati.boruah, asking me if I was home. And thus arrives my 'birthday present'. (That's what the picture is)
I just stared at it for a while with mixed emotions!
1. I LOVE it! I always told her my biggest weakness was Stength training. It was intended to be more of an excuse, but I guess I should have known better. @arundhati.boruah is someone who is a living testament to what lifting does for your body and soul! (If you don't believe me, check her out for yourself!)
Ironically, I was literally telling a friend of mine how it's good to get out of your comfort zone, in attempts of getting him back into working out with me. Lo and Behold! I get to lead by example!
Looks like I'm starting weight training from today!
2. More importantly, I realized how WONDERFUL God has been to me! I have the most supportive family and friends surrounding me! It really puts trivial everyday problems into perspective!
I am gonna try to keep that in mind the next time I want to crib about something being an inconvenience for me.

I definitely don't feel like a beauty and I look more like a beast but I had to press the reset button. After days of binge eating, hiding under my covers and no exercise I had to flip the switch. There was a time when I didn't know how to pull myself up from the heavy weight of my heart. Or how to climb out of the black hole of depression. But I know now. I know what works for me, what saves me. And although my energy is low and I'm feeling pretty shitty, i need to do something about it. Otherwise, I know where this leads. I've been there far too many times...and I never want to go to those depths of hell again. That's my responsibility to myself. *
