Although most were haunted by the screeches of the still tree, unable to be moved by man or wind, she admired its strength in a cruel world, where those in power attempted to waver it into following others’ path with a terrifying fate. She understood its screeches. She wanted others, whom had been corrupted into false thinking for so long, to hear that they were more than just screeches. She understood it. She was it. Through all its troubles, it stayed tall and continued to grow. She wondered, “Why is it people fear those who do not falter in despair? Should they not be admired? Or are the power-hungry demons afraid to go to battle with someone that would slay them and redistribute the power to their prisoners?” Then, she heard it sing, delicately, in protest, yet no one turned their heads. Only she heard it, yet the tree continued to sing. So, she joined in, knowing that the tree’s voice alone was a bit to faint. Suddenly, they together could be heard singing for miles. A lonely tree and a girl longing for justice. They created a fortress of their own, that could not be broken or destroyed, and began a revolution. People listened and slowly joined in, convinced that if two believed in rebellion, three or four could, as well. Is it possible that a single tree’s lyrics could wake the minds of millions? Dawn came, and some photographer in a helicopter captured images of the streets and highways of a large city, filled with people singing. Not an inch of the ground was visible. This photographer sent the images to all the news networks and called in with a huge news story, that soon appeared live on every channel in the country, and continued to reappear for the next few months. The demons that they so peacefully fought against quivered within, and the evil layers of their heart cracked. Some remained the same and ran back to where they had been before, while others revealed hearts of truly good souls, whom had just been corrupted for longer than others, but were reminded of their true selves. So, they all marched together in song, rebels who had regained their humanity, into another world, full of corruption, where they would sing the tree’s song.
