Life works in such mysterious ways. Here is an incredible story that will stick with me for a long time --Photographer, Alan DeCourcy (an angel from Ohio!) took this photo this summer in #capecod . He texturized it beautifully because he thought it was interesting and posted on a Provincetown Photography page (FB) , where many people reacted politically-- about the "shredded" state of politics today, etc. Someone asked about who owns the flag "because they should take it down" --flying at half-mast and tattered. The interesting twist was when I recognized how it was attached--in my dad's style. I told the man that I thought it was my flag and it seems to be tattered because the Harbor masters and townspeople kept it up there for so long, in honor of my late father and his sad, recent passing. As many people know, dad contributed to the town like no other and the giant loss of his energy was felt far and wide. His beautiful, gifting of his sculptures, his art installations, handmade benches, kind acts, his photographs, the town webcams, his creation of the famous #provincetownlobsterpottree and the daily donation of his time, buying, hanging and changing the flags all along the pier. Dad was amazing for so many reasons--and mostly because of his generosity and kindness. Alan DeCourcy noticed that I had identified my flag and the touching reason why it hung like that. He reached out to me and (so generously and kindly, as dad would have) immediately, posted to Prague, a special gift--this gorgeous print!!!!! I cannot express how grateful I am for this moment and for people in the world like Alan. I would like to pass along that kindness today too- please go look at Alan's photography and his wife's book (lynnehugo.com). Big BRAVO to such wonderful people. I am truly touched. “We live in Melbourne and were planning on getting married at Maroochydore so we needed to find a Sunshine Coast wedding photographer. After looking at the work of several photographers on line we decided that Adriana Watson's work was the best for the type of wedding we planned- casual, friendly, full of fun for family and friends, and a lasting memento that would make us look good! We both hate having our picture taken and didn't want posed photos- Adriana was brilliant- getting natural smiles and laughs and catching lots of beautiful family moments. All of our wedding suppliers knew Adriana and commented on how lucky we were to have her photograph our wedding- we couldn't agree more”. Jeni and Kerry
What greeted me as I walked into my office this morning, along with the Fab Four on my team who jumped out from behind the banana palm to yell HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Thanks @stacey1103 and @whitkorchun! Done with my morning meetings so let’seat cake! #bdayweekend#thoughtfulpeople#caramelcake
My sister @coastalchronicles always brings expensive chocolates for my husband's family when she comes to visit us. It's a beautiful and generous gesture that is wholly appreciated, and they quite enjoy the chocolates too! My father-in-law Babbo came to visit this morning and with him he brought these gifts from his garden. He never arrives at our home without something from his garden. Another beautiful gesture that is always appreciated. I can't wait to honor this gorgeous cauliflower by turning it into a few different dishes! I'm thinking one of the ways will be a pasta dish with these walnuts and some gorgonzola? Pancetta too? #kindness &generosity #thoughtfulpeople
I really have the most wonderful clients. I received this beautiful gift yesterday out of the blue from a lovely reiki client. She knew butterflies were hugely symbolic and sign from spirit to me and this cutie little angel to bring me luck. 😍😍😊😊😊😊😊 . Had a message from another client saying how happy she was we met. And I agree everyone I meet through my work is amazing. Feeling blessed, lucky and heart full. Lucky girl. It’s a reminder of the lovely things we can do for others. It made me smile. What could you do today to make another smile? A simple message, a phone call or even a wee cuddle. When the midday barman brings you a bowl of strawberries and sorbet on the House because he knew I was trying to find a snack and settled for a coffee instead! #yum#love#thoughtfulpeople @blackonblackbartending
Biggest thank you to Liv at @alittlewarped for surprising both Poppie and I with such a thoughtful gift! We both absolutely love the mandala (& Poppie has kindly let me put it on the living room wall while we paint her room) 😉 Feeling very special to have an @alittlewarped original in the house 😘❤️😍
You immediately feel the energy of a place based on what it’s soundtrack is. Whether it’s soft or catchy or new or old or Austin’s “angry music”. 😏 The picture was taken by Cossette when I had purple ashy hair and she said the lady on the wall loved music like we do. Today Ellery knew I was nearing a nervous breakdown while I was on a horrible, on hold, painful call and I heard her from the other room say, “Alexa, play Claire de Lune.” My go to calming song. 😊
