Over the two months, I’ve been sharing stories about my hosted visits to @visitquadcities, like climbing into huge farming equipments @johndeere Pavilion, seeing fossils at @augustana_illinois, and playing at @putnammuseum and @familymuseum. So, maybe you’re wondering where to stay - the @traveliowa side or the @enjoyillinois? Today #ontheblog , I attempt to answer... or at least show you three options that fit different needs for families. #visitquadcities

Bikers! A bike to most is just a bike, but to you passionate few. What makes yours so special? How can you explain the significance of your bicycle to those who do not do it everyday?
I finally got to peek in the beautiful McNeill Stone Mansion here in Oskaloosa with my girlfriends and we spent a lot of time oohing and ahhing over all the details. Wish I would have taken more pictures but just when I needed a little piece of home to help cheer me up ALOHA appears and all is well. Thank you ladies for Sunday Funday Adventures 😘 @buzzerie @grr0674 #oskaloosa#mcneillstonemansion#thisisiowa
“Why New Providence? I get asked this regularly. It’s home for me and goodness, I am so thankful every day that I have grown a business in an area full of such supporting people. Everyone in this community treats you like family and they are so positive, always encouraging others, looking for a way to give a helping hand, and celebrating everything and everyone’s accomplishments. Why wouldn’t you want to surround yourself with that everyday?!” Read more from Sommer Combs of @imagesbymosch as we continue sharing stories of #ruralrevival in New Providence, Iowa!
We are just two days away from our upcoming big event. Will you be there? Details below!

What is balance? ⬇
Balance is all around us. Thanks to the proper balance of life around us, we exist in harmony. But is balance relative?
A scale is used to measure balance and if something is in the correct balance the scale is even. When things are out of balance, the scale tips. It's a pretty simple equation
-- Sometimes that weight of what is being weighed is not taken into account. What may be heavy and tip the scale for some people, may not for others. And some things that are light for some, are heavy for others.
Sometimes your dreams and goals may seem heavy for others, but this shouldn't cause you to get weaker or lose the strength that you have. It's when the load you carry is to much to bear where things come out of balance. The scale will tip. It is when this scale is tipping that things should be added that are more important, and things that aren't should be taken away.
What the tipping point is, is something we should all consider. But don't let others tip that scale in their favor. Go crush it. I heard crushing things makes them smaller and smaller things are typically lighter...
