Bersyukur semesta mempertemukan aku denganmu. Selamat ulang tahun.

and float with the flock ⭕️🐠
Summer tour starts tomorrow! Who is ready to float with the flock tomorrow and Wednesday at Lake Tahoe before this weekends Gorge run?!
Living passionately & taking the roads less traveled is not a luxury it’s a choice.
Hiking is a bit like life. The journey only requires you to put one foot in front of the other... again and again and again. And if you allow yourself opportunity to be present throughout the entirety of the trek, you will witness beauty every step of the way, not just the summit.
Can I take a minute to express how proud I am of our Belgian national team, the Red Devils? Yesterday they won their last game and finished third in the World Cup, reaching the podium for the first time ever (!). We didn't win the World Cup, yet I have the feeling we won so much more than just a 1st place. I was in front of the screen every time Belgium played during this World Cup. At the same time as a lot of supporters in Belgium and around the world, I was cheering, stressing, almost dying of several heart attacks (#japan ) and feeling so much happiness I could scream for minutes without stopping. And while I was going through all these emotions, I never stopped being proud of them. They had times when they were hesitant, even weak sometimes, yet they were always strong and passionate. And, most importantly, they always played a beautiful and respectful football - which is something that not a lot of other countries can be proud of, unfortunately. They never lacked of fair-play, never tried to cheat and never became aggressive. On the field, they impersonated the values that always surrounded me while growing up and that I will always cherish, such as humility, tolerance and kindness. So yeah, we might not take the cup back home but we bring back so much more. We earned respect from so many people in the world. We showed them how nice and respectful Belgium is. And being true to our values will always mean much more to me than just a cup.
Go Belgium, and thank you for everything!

Shopping-hack at the souk.⠀
Hack #1 . Walk away, like really walk away, they will always immediately lower the price to keep you. And if they don't, no worries, the next shop will have almost exact same items anyway. And don't show them that you really like the item, or if you travel with friend/boyfriend/family members, you can play the bad cop-good cop duo. It works for us every time ;)⠀
Hack #2 . Find your price point. Whatever number they say, divide by 3, and start bargaining a bit lower than that. This is a tip I've got from a local and I already tested it several times myself. For example, the leather backpack I'm wearing in the photo, he asked for 900MAD (~80EUR), so I started my bargaining price at 260MAD, and eventually got it for 310MAD (~25EUR for a really good leather bag). Needless to say, I was a happy happy girl :D⠀
Hack #3 . Stick with your price.⠀
"- C'mon give me your serious price, this costs 900⠀
- Okay, I give you 260⠀
- No ma'am, this is really good quality, I can sell you for 880. What's your price?⠀
- Well... then 270⠀
- No not possible ma'am⠀
- Okay then I'll walk around and if I don't find anything better I'll come back to you (hack #1 )⠀
- Okay, then 800, last price..."⠀
And that goes on for a while, you get the idea. So stand your ground girls, increase by 10MAD each time until you reach the max. price you're willing to pay. Bargaining is a game that they expect you to play so you might as well know the rule.⠀
Bonus hack. Most important of all, enjoy and have fun! The most hilarious conversations we had happened at the souk with the shop sellers. If the sellers got angry, they're not a good seller, so feel comfortable to ignore and walk away. Have fun shopping!⠀
