Well, when sharing the day to day process of a painting, you all get to see the good the bad and the ugly...so to speak. Here it is at the end of today's efforts. It has a fair bit of work left to do on it, but so far, it's on track with the direction I wanted to take it.
Continuing with the finished work theme - 48”x48” plein air in the Rio Grande Gorge. Sunrise along the river is a beautiful beautiful time. All’s quiet before the day gets going, only the river and birds make much noise.

A few things that I love: hitting snooze on my alarm (at least 3x haha), warm sunlight streaming through my windows, and strong coffee! Like reaaaaal strong. // This morning I had a few minutes to pause and look at this new piece. I realized that this may be my largest canvas thus far! See my 3ish ft fig tree for scale. I love how all of the patterns and textures are at play. So much movement and so much fun to create! Thankful for these moments that serve as reminders to step out and try new things. 💛
Today's progress. We're approaching the stage where my pace slows down a bit and after a day of work it doesn't look much different from yesterday. A lot of adjustments were made and I've begun finish work in several areas. This really is way too much fun!

I used to feel really insecure about this one because I thought it didn’t have enough gold leaf, or enough rhinestones.
I learned to understand that each painting has its own personality. •
I decided that the Bling Collection will be in my shop in November. I still don’t feel like it’s complete, but I will try my best to work hard and get done the bigger paintings I want to create.
