EIGHT courses of the most amazing explosions of flavour that looked just as magical as they tasted - with a different wine pairing to accompany each course! 😩 That's A LOT of wine!!! You'll understand why this is the only food pic I have from that night...and why I wouldn't even be able to tell you what exactly I had to eat! 😆 We all paid for it dearly the next day but it was totally worth it! I had the most lovely night at the test kitchen (Tulsa’s premier foodie club!) which I’m now a member of and have the knife pin to prove it. Chef Trey Wilson created a beautiful menu for all of our enjoyment and talking to some like minded interesting people was so wonderful. Honestly it was a night to remember and was so magical. It was my first one I ever attended and I love the experience and would love to go back! Also I have a tomato allergy and the chef created dishes for me to replace the ones with tomatoes and everything was delicious. He and the hostess checked up on me multiple times to make sure I was having a good time and I really really was. I can’t stress how amazing this night was! Yes the list is out! No 50 of the world this year. Best food experience I ever had!!! Oh and it was the first time for me that the vegetarian menu was not even brilliant in taste but also similar in a way to the non-vegetarian menu (where possible). And it may sound strange but it made me realize how included you feel when you can discuss the course together without the feeling they compromised on the dish. Besides that, changing your complete menu to save water during the water crisis in South Africa.. It is needed, it is creative in a sense and how it should be done in every restaurant! Go Test Kitchen!! Once again we were blown away by a tasting menu. We tried getting into The Test Kitchen two years ago. We missed our window for reservations this year. Then, at 11AM we received a message that the Chef’s Table was available.

처음 뵙고 많은 요리사들의 귀감이 되는 모습을 지켜봤었는데 음식은 오늘 처음이네요
저는 재료가 가진 가장 중요한 맛을 단순하게 끌어내는데 반해 셰프님은 그 재료로 여러 가지 맛과 텍스쳐를 만들어서 한 접시에 녹이는 스타일입니다
제가 할 수 없는 요리죠
점점 머릿속이 심플해지니...ㅎㅎ
굉장히 손도 많이 가고 복잡해보이지만
그 속에 뚜렷한 직관적인 맛이 있습니다
그래서 너무 맛있었어요
와인 페어링도 너무 잘 맞았고요
주방이 너무 시원시원하게 보이고 그속에 바삐 움직이는 스태프들 모습이 인상적인 곳입니다
Amazed how The Test Kitchen manages to adapt their regular menu to a 'water-saving' version, and still pushes all culinary boundaries. Kudos to Luke Dale Roberts and his teams for a kickass meal.

Fine Dining, молекулярная кухня, странные вкусы, иначе говоря красиво покушать. Сейчас будет про еду). Ходили мы тут в заведение, куда бронировать нужно на месяцы вперёд. Работает оно 3-4 часа в день, это как раз время отведённое на твой гастрономический трип, где тебе даже карту дают.
За 3,5 часа нам принесли в сумме 22 маленьких блюда! Все было похоже на небольшое театральное шоу, скрипели даже половицы! К некоторым блюдам шли коктейли, к другим вино или чай, сочетания порой были оргазмические, но вкус еды все же был странен. Пара ингредиентов (не знаю даже чего) вызвало желание сбегать в дамскую. И все-таки молекулярная кухня это скорее эксперимент, нежели настоящая еда. Попробовав кучу всего, чувствуешь себя сытым, но ощущение пустоты остаётся. Поел ты вообще или не поел? #thetestkitchen
