So tomorrow will be my last day in Thessaloniki and I cannot even begin to explain how much I have fallen in love with this city, or how high up the list of places I would call ‘home’ that it now is.
To have been able to live in Greece for a year and learn Greek to B1 level has just meant the absolute world to me for obvious reasons which I won’t go into, because I’m already trying not to cry. I am convinced that I will be back soon, hopefully for even longer next time, but until then stay χαλαρά, Thessaloniki 😘✌🏼#Thessaloniki#thessalonikimou#Greece#erasmus#thesserasmus
Explore the beauty of your new city, take a walk down the sea side, go hiking and enjoy the scenery. This photo was taken at the sea side walkway at the beautiful city of Thessaloniki #Scholars#Exchange#ERASMUS#THESSERASMUS
As the name implies, this page is dedicated for sharing my experience during four different exchange programs. Ultimately I aim to help others apply for such opportunities by posting procedures of applications and paperwork. These pictures you see above are of my first program, Thessaloniki in Greece, the city that I love the most 🇬🇷 #ERASMUS#Thesserasmus
Continue to share your #Thesserasmus experience with us ❤
You've heard people talk about what a life-changing experience Erasmus can be but the truth is you can never fully understand it until you live it. After Erasmus your life is changed forever, in the most incredible way.
Giovanni Zian knows this feeling very well. "Thanks to my year in Thessaloniki, I found what I would like to do in my life (I had been looking for it for 23 years) and I became a citizen of the world. ...." Just past the border that makes me leave Greece behind me, I start thinking about many things, but especially about all of you, that made my erasmus the best one. I only regret everything I didn’t do and the moments I lost with you. I am happy and proud of these last months. I love you all❤️❤️. #thesserasmus#erasmuslife#erasmusfamily#thessaloniki

The first time I heard about Erasmus I was 10 and I remember I said to my parents "One day I will do it". And 12 years later, I made my dream comes true.
Today is the 28th of june 2018 and it's the end of this incredible experience. I left France 9months ago with 1 000 doubts. Will I meet people that I'm gonna like ? Will I like Greece ? Won't I be homesick ? And what about my family, will I be able to live far away from them for such a long time ?
I needed not even 1 week to find an answer to all of my questions. Of course I met people that I like, and some of them will remain my friends for a long time. I fell in love with Greece, with Thessaloniki, every single day I was here. I didn't miss my french life, not even one day. And yes, I did miss my family, but I found another one on erasmus, my Erasmus family, and a City that I called home after few days.
Thanks to all the people I met. You made my time in Greece better. Living this adventure was the best decision of my life, especially in Thessaloniki. I wish everyone could live this incredible experience, because the world deserves to be discovered.
Once Erasmus, always Erasmus. 🇪🇺🇬🇷🌍💕 #thesserasmus#thessaloniki#ialreadymissyou#seeyousoon#erasmuslife#greece
(I wanted to take a cool picture of the sunset today, but it was raining cats and dogs, so here's a cool picture of the sea I took like two weeks ago or so)
I remember my first day in Thessaloniki. I had never been so scared in my life before. Living alone (for the first time) in a new city which I didn't know the language of (I still don't though 😂) was a huge deal. But I kept telling to myself "Don't worry, it's going to be great. You're going to live the best year of your life." And dammit I did. So much happened this year. I have traveled to so many places and countries, and met so many different people from all around the globe; people that will always have a special place in my heart. I have also learned to be more independent and to open up more to everyone, even though I still have a lot to improve.
And now, nine months later, it's time to say goodbye. I leave this city transformed into a completely different person. It might sound a bit cliché, but living abroad truly changes you
Ευχαριστώ πολύ, Thessaloniki. For all those lovely sunsets, whether they were on the seaside listening to the street musicians or at the castle in the upper city. For those taverna nights that ended up with people ordering more wine than necessary (jk there's never not enough wine 😂). For every street, every square, and every traffic light that no one cares about (seriously though what is up with traffic in Greece? 😂). For all of this and more, thank you Thess. See you soon.
You've lived it, you've loved it and we are so happy to see that you are also ready to preach it! The #Thesserasmus force is strong with this one!
In the words of @weronikaczajkaa :
Erasmus has changed me in every possible way. I grew up as a person and learned how to live my life to the fullest, it made me fierce in some way - I'm not afraid to chase my dreams, of being independent. Now I know that the world is small and I can find myself a home wherever I can. All I need was the right people.
Thesserasmus, most importantly, means creating an international family that lasts longer than a semester as an Erasmus student. Thesserasmus also means living in paradise while being surrounded by so many different people coming from all other the world. And yet, we were so alike.
If you are a future Erasmus Student , come to Thessaloniki with open heart and an open mind. Because when it ends, both of them will stay there. Prepare yourself for living a dream life in a paradise. For real, it's Greece! Just go, don't think about it too much. Your life in your home country will stay the same but you will grow and change in a way you would never probably dream about. This experience is worth it all, trust me. I've been there.

All goods things come to an end. Exactly 9 months ago, I was leaving for a new country, a new city, with no one I knew and no clue about what I would find here. I couldn't imagine I was about to start the best year I've ever had.
9 months later, I have to leave this place that became home and leave people who became friends.
This year has been so rich and I'm so thankful for this experience. I've been to wonderful places, I travelled a lot, I ate way to much feta, I got used to the Greek lifestyle and I learned to love it.
I've partied as never and I've even been nominated to the drunkest Erasmus award, that is to say!
But mostly, I've met so many amazing persons, I had so much fun here, I discovered so many things, I did some things that I would never have been able to do before. Definitely, I grew up.
Everything was incredible but time has gone by so fast, I haven't seen those months pass and it's already time to go back in France.
I hope I'll remember everything the way I'm thinking about it now.
Thanks to all of you, all the people that made this Erasmus so amazing. And thanks to my family for giving me this opportunity, I'm so grateful.
Thanks Greece and don't worry, I'll come back. ❤️
Good bye Malakas, love you all 🇬🇷#Thesserasmus
