The Rake's founder @wei_koh_revolution embarks on a Venetian odyssey, hanging his hat (and admittedly fine wardrobe) at the world’s most famous hotel. A stay at the Gritti Palace demands one to be looking one’s finest. In December, one can find himself literally knee-deep in Venice, given that the mercurial water levels often try to put a dampener on proceedings, so a combination of elegantly suitable outerwear must be packed alongside one’s refined social attire, together with a timepiece of commensurate elegance - in this case The Rake and Revolution's collaboration with @chopard on the L.U.C 1860 (limited to only 10 pieces). It’s not often that gumboots and a tuxedo share the same luggage case, but therein lies the unpredictable charm of the world’s most unique city.

So, while we might be champions of considered luxury here at The Rake, one can also find indispensable items that won’t blow a hole in your pocket, such as @ettinger.london’s bridle hide shoe horn, nourishing Windsor bear oil from @drharrislondon and much, much more. Still life taken from The Rake Atelier, out now on newsstands, within The Rake. Tap for products or visit TheRake.com to find stocking fillers under £150.

He, “The Rake”, and I in his snare momentarily of course, basking in the ambiance of good fortune and fine wine. This life isn’t for the faint of heart, you have to meet indifference on the other side just to cope with the reality that narcissist never feel the pain they wheel.
