The past 2.5-3 weeks have been spent reading engaging short stories and studying short story elements! My sophomores and I have read 5 short stories- #Poison , #ManEater , #TheMostDangerousGame#SoundOfThunder , and #Sniper . •
I am a teacher who values daily change and student engagement through interactive activities. In this #storystoryunit , we learned 1-2 short story elements per day through a mini lesson that usually included the analyzing of the concept through a #PixarShort before then reading a short story. We focused the selected term each day and dug deep, making connections to our short story using what we learned. In addition to reading and analyzing the short stories, I also came up with an engaging activity to pair with each story. For example, for #Poison , I created a fun comprehension escape room! The students loved it so much they didn’t realize they were thinking critically.•
We covered theme, plot development, characterization (indirect and direct), conflict (internal and external), types of characters, point of view, and imagery. •
As a summative assessment, I had my sophomores create their own short stories with a clear rubric and graphic organizer. They could write about ANYTHING. What you see are my awesome sophomores who VOLUNTEERED to share their stories in front of the class! I’m sure my bribe for bonus points wasn’t a reason for this 😉

Darth Vader #18 was not what I was expecting in a story in all the right ways. You essentially have a play on “The Most Dangerous Game” story. You have no idea why Tarkin and a team are hunting Vader down. Your mind thinks of all the scenarios, including “did I miss an issue somewhere?” All is explained near the end in regards to what set this in motion, but the motivation for it is unclear to the characters involved. This works very well for the story being told. The ending makes you eager to find out how Vader can get out of the situation he is in. This continues to be the best Star Wars title produced by Marvel. 5 out of 5
During Berlin Art Week, the @hkw_berlin will be opening the exhibition "THE MOST DANGEROUS GAME". The title refers to a lost collage of the same name by Guy Debord (1931-1994), who influenced the Situationist International (S.I.) from its founding in 1957 until its dissolution in 1972 👉 Programme information via link in bio!
Also, this weekend marks the last chance to experience great summer vibes at the beautiful roof terrace of HKW! "Wassermusik" celebrates the brilliance and breadth of British music while offering stunning views at the government district and the Spree river. Happy Friday!

(Available on Apple podcast, googleplay and more. Link in bio) Episode fifty-six is a Double Feature!! Continuing our journey through cannibal films with a double dose of human carnage! Starting off with one of the most influential horror films most people haven’t seen, the grisly 1932 masterpiece The Most Dangerous Game, from the same team who would unleash King Kong on the world a year later. This tale of Russian Count Zaroff living on a remote island, and his perverse desire for new game to hunt has had countless imitators, possibly including the Zodiac killer. Made over 40 years later, our second feature Countess Perverse, is one of these imitations. Though far from being a lazy remake, the brilliant Jess Franco turns the material into something truly his own, with gorgeous barely clad babes, eye popping locations, and the most succulent meals. PAGODA CITY SUPER CUT - here is the videos for 270-275. I wish I had been able to make them separately, and I will attempt to do so when I find all the sketches and stencil drawings. This convention was an absolute blast, and as the video quickly scrolls by, this is the 2 year anniversary of the Most Dangerous Game. It really began as something to do at the Pagoda City convention since I had no clientele and most of the best tattooers in the world are there. If you would have told me in August 2016 that I would have tattooed almost 300 people, gotten a book published, and made a little ripple In the tattoo world with this crazy thing, I would never have believed you. Thanks to everyone who has played so far, thanks to everyone eat to play, and thanks to everyone who watches these videos, tags their friends, and gets it out there. Thanks also to my crew, @losingshape @oldsouls @the_hyena @mrincognito @ameliarosetattoo @amy_shapiro @matte_lifetime @henrylewis77 @mattitude @haubs @honkeykonger for your assistance, brainstorms and support.
