#latergram ||| This shot may not look like much (it doesn't even begin to capture the beauty of the surrounding area) but what it does capture is significant enough a moment in my life that I feel it undoubtably worth sharing. Here, you see me, with Barry the beautiful being, at the summit of my first EVER outdoor multipitch climb. Here's to new beginnings, new adventures, growth of many kinds. Climbing is an exploration of the natural world I can't believe I've taken so long to try, and intend to make the most of now that I've begun. #TheGrack
1st Date: beers in Seattle, 2nd Date: your first rock climb in Yosemite #thegrack , 3rd Date: An Astrovan and a Prius caravanning around the desert for two weeks. Sorry not sorry for taking you to #indiancreek on your second day EVER rock climbing. I love your guts and I'll continue tumbling down black diamond runs to make up for all that jamming. 🎿💥 I swear it gets less painful...This shot is from that magical day in #Zion when I realized I loved you. When we return, we'll be roping up! You're so ready. XOXO #LoveInTheMountains
"You get to the top of a wall, there's nothing up there. Lionel Terray, the great French climber called it 'The conquistadors of the useless.' Yeah, the end is absolutely useless. But every time I travel, I learn something new and hopefully get to be a better person." -Yvon Chouinard || The Grack in Yosemite National Park, CA
And before I know it I'm at the top of the 3rd pitch of #TheGrack Center route, 500 feet up, a YDS 5.6 five star rated route (as per supertopo). It was a full house too, people were ahead of us and behind us, here is the party behind us leading the 2nd pitch #rockclimbing#Yosemite
So grateful to live so close to one of the most amazing places in Earth! Happy Thanksgiving everyone-even though we should find something to be grateful for every day-not just one day a year. I am grateful for so many things. My wonderful family, my best friend/sister and her family, my amazing friends, this beautiful Earth, people helping others, my health (and my parents health), the ability to go out and climb and hike, Scout (basically my child), Jack, Savy, mom's cats, the amazing plants and animals throughout the world, and so much more! Hope everyone has a beautiful and wonderful day!
