Elohim "When the plural and androgynous Hebrew word Elohim was translated into the singular and sexless word God, the opening chapters of Genesis were rendered comparatively meaningless. It may have been feared that had the word been correctly translated as "the male and female creative agencies," the Christians would have been justly accused of worshiping a plurality of gods in the face of their repeated claims to monotheism! The plural form of the pronouns us and our reveals unmistakably, however, the pantheistic nature of Divinity. Further, the androgynous constitution of the Elohim (God) is disclosed in the next verse, where he (referring to God) is said to have created man in his own image, male and female; or, more properly, as the division of the sexes had not yet taken place, male-female. This is a deathblow to the time-honored concept that God is a masculine potency as portrayed by Michelangelo on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The Elohim then order these androgynous beings to be fruitful. Note that neither the masculine nor the feminine principle as yet existed in a separate state! And, lastly, note the word "replenish." The prefix re denotes "back to an original or former state or position," or "repetition or restoration." (See Webster's International Dictionary, 1926.) This definite reference to a humanity existing prior to the "creation of man" described in Genesis must be evident to the most casual reader of Scripture."

Saw this fat kitty at the National Gallery today with a worried look. He was sitting next to Adam and Eve, so maybe he was worried they would have to leave and he would never be fed kibble again. That stuff's important to a cat, man.
“There they are,” said Barny, “right next to those two losers. He couldn’t even lift his leg to mark a tree and her .... don’t get me started. Talking with snakes, indeed! Whippets have never liked the reek of apples since then but ... well, they got escorted to the gate, banished, and we were given the garden to play in and care for till y’all come home again.” #whippetsinparadise#janbrueghel#thefallofman
Master of Lucretia Flemish, active ca. 1520 The Fall of Man Oil on wood It’s a terrible moment. Defying God’s command, Eve has taken the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, ensuring the fall from grace that will condemn all humans to sin and death. The artist underscores woman’s devilish role in this disaster by giving a female face to the serpent who encouraged Eve to take the fruit and share it with Adam. Even so, the painting celebrates Adam and Eve’s beauty. Medieval artists typically showed the biblical first couple as guilty sinners, physically plain or even ugly, and ashamed in their nakedness. Yet here the two are elegantly posed and ideally proportioned—their flawless forms glowing against a dark forest setting. The shift in tone reflects the new Renaissance ideal of the human figure. Perfected in Italy, this classically inspired approach soon spread northward, where artists like the Master of Lucretia used the subject to demonstrate their mastery of the nude. FATHERLAND is a vivid, urgent and deeply personal portrait of 21st-century Britain at the crossroads of past, present and future. Inspired by conversations with fathers and sons from the trio’s hometowns in the heart of the country, the show explores identity, nationality, masculinity – and what it means to belong in a world weighed down by the expectations of others. Tender and tough, honest and true, Fatherland is a vital and necessary show about what we were, who we are and what we’d like to become. #thefallofman#masculinity#fatherhood#menrolemodels#metoo#lovemyjob#lovemylife
I made this for @brant_akins for his birthday.💕🎂 In "Food of the Gods: The Search for the Original Tree of Knowledge," Terence McKenna proposed the idea that the human species became so intellectually advanced due to the use of psychedelic plants and mushrooms. It seems as though he was proposing the idea as a naturalistic explanation of religion, but I think it's totally consistent with the Creation. This is my vision of making consistent McKenna's ideas with the book of Genesis.
@lecocochannel threw a rad 80’s themed costume birthday party last night! Her boyfriend @rex_tylerking threw a pubkeg that hit me right in the face! I threw myself out of the photo booth, as perfectly captured here by the renowned phonetographer @jfiction! And finally, @brian___white threw a glance at the camera with a perfect face! And that is a properly thrown party, amigos. Happy birthday, Christa! #puttingthehurtyinthirty#shindiggingmyowngrave#thefallofman#throwsofpassion
#TheFountain is my favorite @darrenaronofsky film! This film means so much to me! I love this spiritual love story! What makes us human is death. #Death is an act of #Creation & #DeathIsTheRoadToAwe . It’s a deep concept and it can be difficult for some folks to understand / digest. Watching the same couple in love repeat the same pattern of the young wife passing away in 3 separate lifetimes for the lesson is profound to see and resonate with. I love Love, science, art, the stars, the cosmos, history, film, and trees! It’s a simple story about coming to terms with your death, dying, or the death of someone you love. I love the visual art motifs, match cuts, and seeing the crossovers of the 3 different lifetimes. I love the spiritual mystical themes in #DarrenAronofsky movies especially this one. I loved seeing 16th century Spain! The outer space bubble ship was weird. I love Rachel Weisz! This was a physically, emotionally, and mentally demanding role for Hugh Jackman. I loved seeing him cry! I loved seeing them become one with the Earth. #Xibalba#Nebula#DyingStar#Supernova#TreeOfLife#StayWithMe#Immortality#Mayan#SpanishInquisition#TimeAndSpace#Rebirth#TheFallOfMan#ClintMansell
Ayyyyyye. Just wanted to throw this album cover up here cause it's probably THE MOST BAD ASS RECORD that Landon Tewers has ever created. This is pt. 2 of Landon's 2015 release Ai640, which follows an artificially intelligent Android that decides to play God (or Devil) by destroying mankind (hear track "Detest" where he massacres the helpless saying: "God doesn't hear you, he's left you with just me now"). Brutal as fuck...
But then, in "Convince", The Ai says "Brothers it is I, Ai640. I saw all the evils of the world and I thought humans were the biggest problems. But I've seen, I've felt, LOVE, and it's the most valuable thing in the world". I loved this so much.
This album has powers.
It's seriously superb production brings that original sound that Tewers has been known to create, but mostly with The Plot in You, before they "Disposed" 😉 of the heavy. (Which is why FUCK restrictive record labels and create what YOU love, not what they want *cough* money and your name *cough*) So if y'all feel that empty void left with Plot's most recent release #Dispose , allow me to help you fill it.
Go now and listen to Ai640... 🤖
If you can handle it. 🖤🤘🖤
From the track Disconnect:
"Why God, why me?
Is it because I tried to do your work
But got distracted by the fruit you left upon this Earth
Is it because I took too many before I realized my sins
Or that I tried to think at all
And lived a life instead..." #LandonTewers#Ai640#NewMusic2017#ThePlotinYouFans#SicknessDefined#SoundsLikeFear#IfGodwastheDevil#IftheDevilwasGod#LivetoLove#ForthesakeofCreation#ForbiddenFruit#TheFallofMan#HeavyMusic#DoingTheMost#IfThisWasaMovie
