Like father like son. While watching an episode of #thecrocodilehunter I caught a scene where #steveirwin had a camera and immediately thought of @robertirwinphotography so I did a lil side by side pic and kind of got emotional. Steve would be so proud of his family! One of the most serial moments of my life was traveling to Australia last year and visiting the #australianzoo and seeing it first hand and watching Terri and Robert feed the crocs! Wow what a moment! I have always loved this guy and was so sad to hear when he passed but seeing his family carry on his legacy makes my heart full! #theirwins#crickey#whatabeauty
Picture 3, & Vid 1:
This little beaut not only changed pretty colors for me-he/she also came all the way down from his/her resting bench to say hello and let me snap some pretty pictures!
After the video cut he kept looking me up and down and I'd like to think he was wondering why I look a little different. Such wonder!
Random fact #2 I love reptiles because of the crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin and his family now carrying on the #irwinlegacy
Growing up I didnt miss a day of the show, I cried my little blue eyes out when my mom made me get up to watch the news that morning that Steve had passed. Sometimes as a young child I felt like I spent more time with Steve and Terri than my own parents. Seeing their family dynamic always gave me hope that one day I would escape the negativity of my home life to create a life of positivity with someone just as compassionate to the world. I remember when Bindi was born and they involved their children in their work and I found that truly inspiring and remarkable. Their intense passion for wildlife and the outdoors has and always encouraged me to embrace that for myself.
Where to begin with this one... Anyone who knows me knows that if I were asked who my hero is I say "Steve Irwin". He helped me to realize my love for all animals and how I wanted to live my life. My dream job was to go to Australia zoo and work as an animal caretaker along side him. That all came crashing down Sept 2006 of course.. Not to mention my sister passed away 20 days later after Steve ...I was devastated. However my love and admiration for him never wavered! I may have not gotten my dream job but I still try and help and rescue as many animals as I can. So as an early birthday present this year I was like its time! Some space in my brain I thought by waiting to get a tattoo for him I could continue to be in denial about him not being around anymore. I love you Steve ..even though I never met you, I hope you know just how much you meant to me and so many people ... 💚 Crikey Mate I got a croc on me leg 💚 #crikey#crikeyitstheirwins#steveirwin#crocodilehunter#thecrocodilehunter#khakistyles#khaki#khakivibes#crocodile#crocdiaries#myhero#newtattoo#tattooedgirls#tattoo#tattooed#hippiecouple#hippie#vegangirl#vegan
I am thankful for Steve, Terri, Bindi, and Robert Irwin! Although he passed before I was born I have learned so much from #thecrocodilehunter shows that still play on @animalplanet and now there’s the new show #crikeyitstheirwins and @bindisueirwin and @robertirwinphotography are following right in their father’s footsteps. Thank you for carrying on his mission and for being a role model in the world of #wildlifeconservation (I practiced saying “Crikey it’s a wallaby” so many times trying to sound like Bindi 😊)
Crikey! It’s the Irwin’s is on Animal Planet Sunday’s at 8pm
Finally got to see Bindi Irwin feed the crocs on Steve Irwin day Nov. 15th! “If we can teach people about wildlife they will be touched. Share my wildlife with me. Because humans want to save things that they love.”-Steve
Growing up watching Steve on the TV and being so inspired by his passion for animals made it was such a privilege to see Bindi in the flesh carrying on the Irwin legacy.
