One more week until we Kick-Off this year's Youth Arts Movement program @youthartsmovement, party-style! Join us for a fun afternoon of art, games and of course snacks! Youth can register for the Fall 2018 semester featuring the Art of DJing with Artist Facilitator Keisha James. Learn the basic tricks of DJing including: spinning, scratching, juggling music on digital turntables (controllers), and how to transition between tracks in a set. Over the course of 10 weeks, participants will develop skills related to music and production, the process of how to get into DJing as a career, have the opportunity to record their individual DJ sets, and build leadership and confidence as an artist. Whether you stay for the full 10 weeks or are dropping-in throughout the program, youth coming or leaving will get the opportunity to spin and record as they go along. ⠀
YAM is a weekly drop-in arts program for youth ages 12-16 that takes place on Tuesdays from 3:30-6:00pm. Visit https://buff.ly/2DafAWG to fill out the registration. Registrations are accepted on an ongoing basis.⠀
🖤 What does September bring? Just any one thing? The wisdom she keeps, is bound up with string. I get to it slowly, with gentle pulling. “Who taught you to love? Does the thought of it sting?” Quiet markings on doors, evoke constant learning. 🖤
This octopus deserves it's own post. Soft tender bites bursting with flavors from the ocean and fire. The sauce compliments range from olive puree, pesto, roasted pepper puree, and lemon sauce with a kick. Must try!!! 📍@gusto101to
Aaron Sanchez is a pitcher who could be a key part of the Blue Jays' future -- if he can stay on the field and at the top of his game. We've seen what he's capable of (2016 proved that), but also seen what he can become if unhealthy. As much as any thing is a question for the future, the Blue Jays are looking to Sanchez to decide that question for them.
His last start was a step in a positive direction. He gave up only one run in seven innings against the Boston Red Sox, the best offensive team in baseball. If he can do that against a team of that caliber, he should be able to give at least a mediocre start against a team like the Baltimore Orioles. In his career against Baltimore, he has a 3.87 ERA.
Dylan Bundy has been bad this season and even worse against the Blue Jays. He has a 7.88 ERA in three starts against Toronto, with a season ERA of 5.48. He struck out eight in his last start against the Oakland Athletics, and gave up two runs in six innings.
Comment on this photo what you think the final score of the game will be (by 7:00 ET), and the closest guess will be featured at the end of the game!
