From back in the day @parisjayb 😊 Seeing you at the #royalmelbourneshow is making me feel nostalgic. Every year mum would take me and Nola up by train. I loved it, it was such a big deal, a very special treat. We both loved those dolls on sticks 😂 And then I’d come home and scoff all the lollies. Nola would save hers 😁 #thanksforthememories

It’s been a whirlwind of a summer... my heart has consistently been trying to sort itself out the past few months. Spring brought some healing after some winter heartbreak and with my summer starting after May TwoFour, the summer was looking promising... with the usual fetes on deck and a trip to Grenada to get it started, the snapshots were many... but this summer was unlike the ones I’ve had in the past... My post summer vid is usually a flurry pics but after a while I decided it was more important to live in the moment than trying to capture it... so if you didn’t make the vid but you were there to give me hugups or celebrate life, know that your presence this summer was important to me and it’s in my mental memory box. I appreciate you, xx.
5 years ago today we purchased this beautiful block. We built the shed and then the house, we affectionately named our home Swallow's Nest House, got the fence put in, built a chook pen. We planted trees and buried our old dog (Cody) under one of them. We saved those namesake baby swallows who kept falling out of their nest and a baby magpie, watched wallabies as we ate our brekky, soaked in those misty morning views, treasured glimpses of the sunset, had close encounters with koalas, entertained friends, grew chickens and guinea fowl from hatchlings, collected eggs, loved a horse (Rab), played with pups (Lola and Chloe) much to Memphis' digust brought home kittens, (Astrid and Maggie). We grew veggies, we lost veggies to our resident peacock (Raja) and peahen (Perry). Our son roamed the yard and played in the mud, laughed and grew a little. He started school and then paused school. We had parties and visitors and lazy Sundays and busy weekends and enjoyed our friends and family close by....and so many more memories!
We had plans and ideas for this place and we were excited about taking our time to complete them.
We hoped we'd grow old here.
Aaaaaaaand then things changed.....a lot. All for the good in the end, praise the Lord!...but now our lives are up here in CQ and our lovely house has sold and today the last of our things, all packed away in this shipping container has been collected and is on its way to where we live right now. And at the end if this year we will move again (although we think we know our preferred place, it's not yet decided)...and hopefully we'll be able to put down some roots and not move again for a very, very long time if ever.
As sad as it it to let our house and those plans go, we're terriby excited about our future together. 📷 credit: My Dad. (Thanks Dad)
In 1982 I bought my first motorcycle I taught myself how to ride on the side streets behind the dealership until I felt comfortable enough to get out on the Main Street to ride home back then I worked at JPL which was about 2 miles from ACH (sorry So Cal reference) I road that everyday at lunch for about 3 years. That was the start of my two wheel obsession so it seems fitting that my last real ride in California was also on ACH while I’m closing the chapter on California I’m not done writing the book. So many good friends and brothers and sisters I have met along the way you have all left a mark on my heart one way or another I will remember you all and look forward to riding with you all again soon. What got you started riding and where has it taken you? Tell me your stories #goodtimes#rideordie#byecalifornia#halestorm#thanksforthememories#hondacbr600rr#dainese#ls2helmets#iconmotosports
We’ve probably seen this quote in some shape or form a million and one times throughout our lives. But the older I get the more I begin to fully understand what it means. “If I only knew then what I know now” - let the people in your life know you care because you never really know what tomorrow holds. I myself forget this too often and take each day or friendship/relationship for granted and I don’t even realize how much time goes by before I let them know. I Love you all! Whether from long ago or present day in some way you have impacted my life in a positive way. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff ❤️ #thanksforthememories
You know that feeling when the band is playing the final song? When you are kind of glad b/c you are tired but it’s been the most fun & your heart is just all gooey?
🌃 While this #OppositeAsanasAttract party is about to end, we do have this last day together! And we have the fun memories of 7 days of turning our symmetrical poses into funky groovy off-center dance moves!
🕺🏻 For our final day, take the base #CamelPose to the dance floor & show us what you got! I added a mermaid hook-up + a smile b/c ❤️❤️❤️ #ThanksForTheMemories#ThePartyNeverEnds

Visited Macdonalds at #jurongspringcc for some takeaway, on its final night of operations. It closes today, ahead of the CC upgrading works which will commence 1 Oct. This branch opened in 2002, after Jurong Green CC nearby (that was the first Macs to open in a CC). Met many families who came for a nostalgic night. #jurongspring#thanksforthememories
