I’m grateful to be able and share my passion with so many wonderful people. Thank you @eater @eater_sf @eatgordaeat for this amazing piece. We are going to keep doing it for the people. Link in the bio.
The folks from the Chopped n smoked food truck are back!! They have a new restaurant called @smokednchopped. This is also the first fully halal texas bbq restaurant in the Houston area! The menu and the prices can be seen in the second pic.
Today was their soft opening, so I came here for dinner today. They are located in the same strip mall as Cillie’s in Stafford (867 Dulles Avenue). I got their 1/4 sliced brisket with dirty rice ($11.90). The dirty rice here uses brisket instead of sausage meat. They have two types of bbq sauce (regular and spicy; not pictured). The food was pretty good (I’d give it a 8/10)! I’ll definitely be making another trip here soon for their grand opening.
If anyone wants to check them out, they will be open from 5-9 pm this weekend for sure (I think it will be all week as well). They will have their grand opening either next week or the week after (follow them on @smokednchopped for info). The owner also said that they’ll have other items like sausages and ribs by the time the grand opening would occur. Do check them out if you can!
This amazing Texas BBQ restaurant is right near Fenway and is SO good about their gluten free menu!
• they have multiple sides such as potato salad, corn on the cob, or salads to choose from on their GF menu • the staff is super helpful in distinguishing what is gluten free and what you should avoid weather you have Celiac or a regular gluten allergy
• And most important... their food is delicious!! (was so good I forgot to even take a picture of how pretty the plate looked 🤷🏽♀️)
HOLY COW! I can’t believe how fast this cooker is being filled up with pre orders. I might still have space for a couple more orders so hit that DM fast if you want to secure your spot. Thank you to everyone once again who has already placed their order for the 30th. Here’s a pretty shot from a customer of a pork butt and a brisket that went out last time.👌🏼 Whole beef brisket: $100
Whole rack pork ribs: $30
Whole pork roast: $60
Potato salad: $5/pint
Mac and cheese: $5/pint
Coleslaw: $5/pint ***all orders come with white bread, pickles, and onions. We do make our own sauce so just let us know if you’d like some. You probably won’t really need it though. See you then!
Chicken no-noodle soup. It’s good for the soul...and super easy to make! I used my pressure cooker to make bone broth from the bones of the sheet pan chicken I cooked on my @traegergrills, then added some vegetables and the left over chicken and made this delicious soup! It’s so rich and hearty that you won’t miss the noodles! 😋
