#TheGrand - I couldn’t resist putting this through a vintage style filter. While studying photography in college, so much of early photography was in the National Parks for promotion of the system. I know this has been photographed by thousands before me and that fact alone made it even more awesome.
My good friend, Taylor and I set out to summit the Middle Teton yesterday, elevation 12,805, the third highest mountain in the Teton range, and we more than succeeded. We played in the mountains for 14 hours and had an experience I will never forget.
Along the way we made new friends, celebrated a solo climber’s birthday with birthday cake Oreos on the saddle, laughed almost all 14 hours, froze on top of the summit, foot skied down, sang, danced, created stories, and so much more words can’t explain.
Being one of the most challenging hikes I have done, I am incredibly grateful for all the places my body can take me and all of the challenges it can endure and adapt to. I am grateful for all the incredible human beings on this planet who share open hearts and a deep craving for adventure. I am grateful our earth is pure magick and that we get to play within it’s playground as long as we take care of it and do our part to leave no trace.
My soul is more than filled on this soulful Sunday and I am already excited for the next adventure to be had. Go, always go💜🏔
