A sunny Sunday in October. The best time to go for a walk. This time we chose an 8K trail in Connecterra - a panoramic gateway to the National Park Hoge Kempen.
Until 1987 it was actively used for coal mining. The landscape made of lakes and mountains is amazing. You will have to pay an entrance fee of 3 euros but in return you will receive the most beautiful panorama of Flanders.
There are 4 hiking trails you can choose from. You can go for an easy walk or go for a real hike.
You will definitely enjoy the beautiful surroundings!
If you are not from the area you can even book a room at the Terhills Hotel which is literally two steps away from the park entrance.
