Does anyone else feel like they totally forgot how to be a teacher this summer? So thankful for this final meeting free prep day to prep and practice lessons and try to remember the 78274949272 billion things I have to do every day again. #thestruggleisreal

I’m trying to decide which one to give to my kiddos for Orientation (which is like our Meet the Teacher night). Which one do you like best? #meettheteacher#meettheteachernight#backtoschool
These will be in my store soon in my Meet the Teacher editable pack. I’m almost done gathering up all the things I’ve done over the years.
Teacher Survival Kit 👩🏼🏫 I have created my own survival kit to keep in my classroom it includes:
Spare pair of tights ✅
Hair bobbles ✅
Cold and flu remedies ✅
Cosmetic bag to keep it all in ✅
The only thing I need to grab is some snacks for those days when I need a pick me up! 🍫🍬 These are all things I needed so often while I was training. If there is anything I have forgot and you think I need please comment below!
I love this freebie from @sweetforkindergarten! I put it in a cheap IKEA frame which means I can use a dry erase marker or post it notes. This should help me stay extra organized on a weekly basis. Side note...my perfectionist side hates that there is a wrinkle in the yellow paper and it’s taking everything in me not to fix it. Too many other things to prep so it’s not a priority!
School supplies mark the sign of a fresh year ahead. I love strolling the aisles and picking the new boxes of crayons that will lead to crafts and projects. Cracking open the first page of new notebook signals a new beginning and there’s nothing more exciting than a new box of flair pens. I want all kids to have the joy of starting fresh and took the opportunity to pick up extra supplies this year for a local drive to help get kids ready to learn! I took D with me to pick out supplies OTHER kids may need and explained to him that it is our responsibility to help where we can. He got excited about giving - which lit me up. He also insisted all the items be blue because it’s his favorite .... so there’s that 😍💙 I know it can be overwhelming to see that supply list. I’ve also been on the other side as a teacher who knows the purpose behind each item & why we need it to be successful in our learning. If you have the chance, throw an extra set of pencils or a notebook in there for another kid. Let’s give them all the tools they need to learn and make the world a better place ❤️
