Twilight: New Moon (2009)
AGE RATING: 12 📽
This next instalment of The Twilight Saga sees Bella Swan devastated by the the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen, but her spirit is rekindled by her growing relationship with Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of werewolves, the ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.
Another guilty pleasure of mine! Yes, it's cheesy and not the best movie ever, but this movie started off a new obsession for me: Taylor Lautner!! I've moved on now but at the time, I was COMPLETELY Team Jacob!!! I had a duvet cover, special edition DVDs with just Jacob on the front, keyrings, posters... you name it... I had it.
While I do enjoy the first movie, this one just had my full attention. Obviously Jacob is a massive part of that but more because the whole werewolf plotline created a new, fun, enjoyable aspect to the Twilight Saga. I loved that these movies were more then just vampires. Yes I still think the whole Bella and Edward romance is pretty cheesy and slightly unbelieveable, but I just couldn't help but love this movie.
While Kirsten Stewart still remains to be the worst actor of all time, and I don't think Robert Pattinson is as special as everyone makes out, Bella and Edward were slightly more tolerable in this movie. (More because Bella was with Jacob and Edward is gone...lol). While, Taylor Lautner is obviously dribble-worthy as Jacob!!! More actors that are worth a mention are definitely the cast that portray the Volturi. Michael Sheen is just brilliant as Aro and Dakota Fanning is flawless in her role as Jane (she scares me! How creepy is her character?!?). Still a must watch in my opinion!
How?!? How did I not know there was a season 4?!? I’ve watched seasons 1-3 so many times on Netflix that I couldn’t probably recite it word for word! Just turned on bbc I player to find season 4...so obviously I need to binge watch it all tonight! #gregdavies#taylorlautner#cuckoo#bingewatch
Hey it's me, Ro (aka oohboyy on twitter). I know i've been pretty inactive on this but work and life got in the way and then i forgot to post. Im trying to make a come back as it's been 10 years since I discovered this sweet and humble man. And what a rollercoaster it's been. The fandom might have changed over those years, but through thick and thin I'm still here. 💓 #imbackbitches#taylorlautner
Movie Review - Twilight (2008)
PG-13 , 121 Minutes
High-school student Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), always a bit of a misfit, doesn't expect life to change much when she moves from sunny Arizona to rainy Washington state. Then she meets Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a handsome but mysterious teen whose eyes seem to peer directly into her soul. Edward is a vampire whose family does not drink blood, and Bella, far from being frightened, enters into a dangerous romance with her immortal soulmate.
I don’t know why I ever decided to watch this movie, but I started to regret my decision the moment I made it. Not only is this film completely unrealistic, but it’s just bad. If I had been counting, I’m guessing that at least 40% of this movie is just people staring at each other. There’s also the horrible acting between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, something that has literally become synonymous with the movie. If I had to choose something about it as a positive, it’s definitely the fact that I wasn’t held against my will to watch the next four installments in the saga. I can kind of see why some people like this sort of thing, but I’m definitely not in that group.
