"A bunch of nuts, it's not the same as a bunch of nuts"
Nuts are one of the issues of controversy and is that...although they are good fat, they are energetic so in small proportions they contain many calories and that is why you have to be careful.
Not by eating more of something good, you are going to benefit from all the properties of that food. Taking care of the portions is the key.
If you need to weigh, measure and control your food at least at first, just do it.
How much is a bunch of nuts really? Between 20-30g. You can also use your hand to measure them up, but that food must enter into the hand’s hole, but not over the fingers.
Yummy dinner, thanks @taylersilfverduk 🙆🙆💗
🍊O R A N G E 🍊
that I made the other day was just what the doctor ordered.
I’m not a huge meat eater. In fact I eat mainly plant-based except for the occasions where I feel like I need an extra protein boost.
When I do eat meat, I try to make sure it is sourced from farms that keep their animals happy and healthy. One of my favorite farms to buy chicken from has happy chickens that get spoiled maybe a bit to much!
Inspired by a few Asian themes food posts here on Instagram (include one by @thecoeliacstudent) I decided to make myself some homemade, gluten-free orange chicken.
My motivations were two-fold, 1. I was craving Asian food and 2. I was recovering from a rather nasty celiac flare so I wanted to make sure I had some simple and easy to digest foods as the main attraction (Hello chicken and rice)!
How it turned out? Well considering I made the sauce by winging it completely, I think it turned out pretty amazing. So amazing that I’ll be perfecting this recipe soon and oranging to turn it into a recipe blog post 😱!
I truly love when things that happen on the fly turn out amazing!
FYI this is not sponsored but I used @namastefoodsllc Gluten-free all-purpose flour to “bread” my chicken in!

Thank you so much!!!
Happy First Day of Summer! (Which also happens to be my birthday! 😊) My mom and I went strawberry picking yesterday, and now we have loads and loads of strawberries, just begging to be eaten. Since it’s too hot to turn the stove on, I thought this no-bake strawberry dessert would be the perfect dessert to whip up to celebrate my 24th birthday. .
One year ago, I was not in a good place. I was so thin and so unhealthy that I wasn’t even sure if I was going to make it to my next birthday. But here I am today, healthier, heavier, and a whole lot happier than I was one year ago. And I don’t even have the words to express how grateful I am for that. .
Part of being healthy means finding balance in everything you do, including eating. Yes, I love to eat veggies, lean proteins, and healthy fats, and yes, I love experimenting with “healthified” baked goods. But at the same time, I still enjoy indulging in regular desserts that haven’t been “healthified”. Why? Because they taste great, and food is meant to be enjoyed. Eating one slice of cake isn’t going to ruin all progress you’ve made or suddenly make you unhealthy again, just like eating carrots for one day isn’t going to make you healthy.
If there’s anything I want for my birthday, it’s for people to realize that life is SO much better when you’re not stressed about food, exercise, or your appearance. If you’re struggling, PLEASE do not be afraid to ask for help. It does not make you a failure or any less valuable than the rest of us. If anything, it only makes you stronger ❤️
