We guess, your answer is NO! 🙅♀️ We prepared a list with the most common mistakes that many online businesses make. Avoid them if you want to succeed online.
1️⃣ Automate everything. Chatbots are gaining popularity, but don’t forget that all social media platforms are about being authentic. How can something automated feel authentic? Can you build trustworthy relationships with your followers by taking “set it and forget it” approach? The answer is simple for both questions – no. If you want to succeed on social, you need to take part in the conversation.
2️⃣ Inconsistent with posting. It’s not okay to post once a week or less, because this provokes low reach and lack of trust from audience. Create a social media content calendar (it is also called editorial calendar) to help you get more organized with what and when to post on social media channels.
3️⃣ Long buying process. If your potential buyer has to make a lot of extra movements on your social media page or website in order to purchase a product/service, he will most likely decide at some point that he doesn’t need it anymore. The process of making a purchase should be clear, quick and simple.
4️⃣ Ignoring ad targeting. Content that your post hardly reach your followers because of current algorithms, so what can we say about the rest of the world? Use ads to bring more attention to your company.
5️⃣ Always be selling. If you’re only talking about your company, products, services and deals; you're going to lose your reach really quickly - you need to engage with your audience, ask questions, tell stories, be real. If you're constantly pushing product, you'll never get the chance to be heard.
