Four of my works on paper, from a series titled “Making Manet better.” Oil paint on torn-out Édouard Manet prints. These pieces are hanging at the Carolyn Wilson gallery as part of the “There From Here” show curated by @jasonpinckard. Only up until the end of this week! 🕺🏽🏄🏾♂️
If you did not get a chance to see Art en Blanc last Friday night or have been thinking about that piece you must see again in a quieter setting, @lulustudiotampa will be open from 9-2:30pm this Thursday.
Oldie... I’m currently learning how to best photograph my work. Practicing with some old pieces that I love. I can look and see all of the things that I would do differently now, but every imperfection (probably nonexistent to those who don’t know the requirements I set for myself in my head) makes is like a time capsule of my growth. This baby was given to my boo @bijou_b85 a while ago, but don’t let that stop you from sending me a message to talk about your own! 😘
This image is the epitome of my beliefs as a microblade artist. I truly don’t want the tattoo to be too obvious, but blend in harmony with your natural brow, enhancing only areas where needed to perfectly frame those gorgeous windows to the soul 🙏🏻 #delicate#hyperrealism#realistictattoo
Starry night... over Tampa... during the day...🤔 yeah we still love it. It's amazing how one painting by Van Gogh can inspire this mural AND Michelle's Stormtrooper t-shirt 129 years later... Can you tell it makes us happy? Happy #muralmonday#vangogh#sellnerdy
Spent the weekend in Woodstock/ATL celebrating the marriage of one of my oldest friends(who doesn’t have an IG which probably means we shouldn’t be friends). This time also served as an immensely needed break from the studio, as well as a reminder of how many amazing people I have in my life. I’ve realized recently that the subject matter I grapple with in my work, coupled with my labor-heavy studio practice and inability to “turn off” can really fuck me up unless I take the necessary steps. And this time, a weekend trip to the country surrounded by man-eating spiders, poison ivy, and people I love was the step I needed to take. Take care of yourselves, homies. Back to the studio🖤🕺🏽
