This one goes deep. And I felt that. We’re 2018 and I think it’s safe to say that everyone knows that when you’re going to the doctor, chances are you’ll come home with a medication prescription instead of a healthy diet plan. Why? The economy lives off pharmacology. Imagine they’d tell you how to get better just by changing your eating habits (THIS DOESNT GO FOR ALL ILLNESSES), but imagine they did that. People would be more healthy and not need so many pills anymore. Pharmacies? Would struggle to not go bankrupt. Feel free to share your vision on this below. So there’s that. Be mindful about everything you eat before putting it in your mouth. Ask yourself. Is it processed? Easy to go? Bio? Does it contain chemicals? Vegi? Cheap? Vegan? Did they add hormones to it? Was it alive once? Did it BREATHE? Just like you? FUEL your body with healthy nutrients or at least try to as much as possible. You’re not giving your plants beer to grow either, are you? We (most) take care of our plants, so why aren’t we taking care of ourselves? Speaking from experience, it really DOES make a difference on how you feel. Are you tired? You crave sugar. You have a little high and end up being more tired, needing more sugar in order to keep that high going. And so the cycle goes. And TRUST me on this one, the same goes for your mind. Do you feed your mind negative thoughts on a daily basis, you’ll get sick as well. I woke up after thanksgiving feeling bloated and tired and knew I needed to focus on my nutrition and keep doing my workouts. It wasn’t easy, life was crazy busy between planning a wedding, work, doing online courses, and wanting to still spend time with Jay and the fur babies🐶 But all I need was 30 minutes a day, and the support of our accountability group!

It's me vs. me 👊🏼
These pictures are about a month apart. This past month I've learned more about myself and how I'm in control of the choices I make. I switched up my routine with a new program (which is 🔥) & I've been more mindful of my food choices. I know when I’m stress eating 😬 I may not be in my best shape like I was earlier this year, but I defiantly feel more like myself than I have in awhile. I think that’s most important.
I think working on the mind should be #1 when taking care of yourself. Personal development has changed my life, I never even use to read or wanted to listen to a book. Now I devote at-least 30 mins to personal development a day. Mostly every morning on my commute to work. I look forward to that half-hour drive because I know that’s when I get to FOCUS on me, becoming the best version of myself. I’ll never stop working on my mind. It can either destroy you or help you. So I choose to help myself, especially if I have the tools I need to accomplish that.

FACTS: 👉🏻 If I hadn't taken a leap of faith 2.5 months ago I would be 10lbs heavier, still struggling with my nutrition & missing key nutrients, mentally unfocused, & watching my best life just pass me by.
But I did take that leap & it was the best decision I ever made! 💯
I'm not gonna lie. Day one was hard AF. And days two & three weren't much better. But if you just start... decide today is day one... push yourself through all of the hard stuff...
I promise, the payoff is worth every second of struggle. And you will thank yourself for it later. 💪🏻

I've done alot of surviving in the last 10 years. From trauma to working 3 jobs to get my hubby through school to moves cross country to losing my son to now.
Im so grateful we decided to start living (just 3 months ago). Yes, we are still in the midst of so much but so much is also being open to us because we chose to open ourselves up and just live.
Last year life didn't go to plan in Every kind of way. Times of sorrow times of fear times of greif and pain. But we chose to take those and start to live. Living brought us light. Opportunity. Joy. .
I challenge you to stop surviving and start living. Yes, it is terrifying but it's also the most freeing and liberating thing you will Ever do! 💕

Wow how so much has change in 8 years time...
If I could just go back in time and hug and love on this girl the way I should of.. I remember this time like it was yesterday, the girl behind that fake smile was hurting so deep inside, burying secrets she swore she would never let a soul find inside of her because of the shame she would feel if they only knew.
That girl hated every fiber of the being that she was, and the only thing she found comfort in was living life as a puppet because pleasing others was the only thing she found her worth in. Not only that, but being a puppet to a monster who only had selfish malicious intent in this world. .
Gosh you guys, just looking at this picture brings back so many icky feels, (even feeling the need to swallow that lump in my throat now) .
The girl looking in the mirror today has grown and evolved so much. She no longer feels the need to please everyone to feel good about herself. She no longer lives under the dark cloud of other people's opinions or the guilt of living her life the best way She sees fit! This girl knows her worth in who she is because she has consistently committed to herself everyday for the last 8 years to find it! This is proof an internal revolutions! ( and maybe even a little external too)
