Por muito tempo acreditei que terapia fosse algo que apenas pessoas que "realmente precisassem" deveriam fazer. Sempre me considerei alguém forte, que aguenta o tranco, que pode se forçar aos limites e não perde a cabeça. Até que eu me encontrei em uma situação que eu era alguém que "realmente precisava". Talvez eu não conhecesse realmente os meus limites. Eu cheguei a essa situação porque um dia eu acreditei que saúde mental não era algo que eu devesse me preocupar. Deixei anos de situações mal resolvidas acumularem, e quando eu precisei estar saudável, eu não estava. Hoje, eu procuro me cuidar por dentro e por fora. Fisicamente e mentalmente. Não deixa chegar no ponto em que você "realmente precise". Você merece o seu melhor.

July 22: Today I taught a fabulous low and slow (but still challenging am I right?) yoga class. THEN, this afternoon I picked up cupcakes: vanilla, chocolate caramel and strawberry. I tried each of them and the vanilla was decent and the other 2 were MEH. I didn't finish them. Back in the day these might have been purchased for comfort/avoidance over self-care. Comfort food I would eat instead of actually feeling my feelings. Self-care cupcakes I just go with what tastes good and satisfies me in the moment. What I have found is that things I once turned to in desperation no longer taste the same. They just get to be food - not a substitute for love or connection. It's nice to allow food to be food and feelings to be felt. Are you looking to find peace with food?
As the weekend comes to a close and the new week awaits, it’s worth checking in with your schedule for the days ahead. .

How full is your bucket? ▪️
We so often spend so much time filling up the buckets of others with our time and energy that we end up neglecting and emptying our own.
This bucket refers to the capacity to have our needs met. These basic needs include feeling loved, appreciated, heard and capable. It can be quite hard sometimes to determine how and even when these needs are depleted. But making this a priority can drastically change our experience as a friend, parent, love, etc. ▪️
While it is my personal choice to fill the buckets of others and I cannot expect the same in return, it can at times leave me feeling a tad depleted. So today I treated myself to a beautiful bouquet of flowers, a little poolside sunshine and some extra time talking to God. ▪️
Today’s self-love and self-investment will fill my bucket with the strength to continue what I truly love doing...being a bucket-filler. #selflove#investinyourself#bucket#takecare#blessed#heart#happysunday
