Moral of the story: every home should have a swing 🕊 #幸福山行民宿#discovertaiwan
Side note: I’m very much a budget traveler especially when it comes to accommodation, preferring couchsurfing/hostels to hotels. I find it more worthwhile to spend my limited $$$ on other aspects of travel, and staying in more communal spaces makes for a really fun and relatively safe way to meet other people as I often travel solo.
It also makes for a rather celebratory and special occasion when I do choose to stay at a nice hotel. Though photos do not do it any justice (and I was not able to capture the A+++ bathroom), I really wanted to share this space. It was so incredibly peaceful, relaxing and beautiful, I would highly recommend it to anyone planning to stay overnight on a trip to Pingxi/Shifen in Taiwan. Luckily the room also didn’t break the bank at roughly $100USD a night, breakfast included. Split between two, it costs less than many (including me) spend on a night out (in NYC) 😛
P.S. Would anyone be interested if I wrote up a Taipei guide?
P.P.S. This is in no way sponsored by the hotel, which - as far as I can tell - doesn’t even have any social media accounts.
