I had the immense pleasure of speaking at the TACA Conference last weekend about having a more peaceful home while living with autism. Panicked silently when I saw I was speaking at the same time as Dr. Nancy O’Hara, who is known for her work with PANDAS. By the end of my talk there were people standing in the back of the room due to lack of chairs. 😳
After speaking with many of the parents afterwards, I realized this wasn’t about me at all. They were there to get the help they so desperately needed. And I just happened to be the conduit for that info. That realization was not only pleasantly humbling, it also takes much of the pressure off my speaking abilities. 😉
Still so in awe having been in the presence of this incredible, accomplished and inspiring women today! Thank you Dr. Temple Grandin for all you’ve done and continue to do🙏🏻 #hope#autism#tacaconference
