More of @owen_duffy's impressions of #tabletopgaminglive . Again, we make a blink-and-you've-missed-it appearance at about 4:20. Alice is demoing BUILD and Lily is fronting the company.
We're on this lively film made by those talented folks at @InitiativeOrder. They also stayed for an interview with Lily and a full playthrough. Watch this space! #Tabletopgaminglive from @TabletopMag.
‘Brutal’ is the perfect descriptor for #thelostexpedition by @ospreygames one minute your walking through the jungle with your fellow adventurers and the next you’re out-running a Jaguar, swimming with piranhas, or you’re trying to decide who in the party will lose health or be sacrificed for the greater good! Since picking it up at #tabletopgaminglive I’ve been playing it a lot and I’m loving how brilliantly thematic the game is! #natureisbrutal#managethoseresources#survivethejungle
It was great fun to play a couple of games with designer @stuffbybez at #TabletopGamingLive 😁 UNFORTUNATELY there's no photos of me gracefully tying myself in knots playing #Yogi 😥
#Wibbell ++ was a really interesting concept - multiple different games in one deck of cards! We played WIBBELL and FAYBELL, which were both very different from each other, but equally entertaining. #lotsoflaughs#convention#conventionfun @tabletop_gaming_magazine
Spent my weekend demoing at Tabletop Live for Queen Games!
This was the first time I have ever demoed games even though I have been teaching games quite a whil.
I loved the experience and learnt quite a few lessons on teaching games for the future.
Even got to keep a few games so I will posting about those soon!
Was great to meet a few of those people who I follow on Instagram

Quite a humble haul from #TabletopGamingLive this weekend - but still a much bigger haul than planned! 😅 I just can't resist!
ODIN'S RAVENS - had to add this awesome two-player game to our collection as we've played it every time we visited the @chanceandcounters popup in Cardiff and can't get enough! (As an aside - can't wait for the Cardiff Chance&Counters to open!)
THE LOST EXPEDITION (+ expansion) - I've been intrigued with this one for a while because I really like the artwork (first clocked it at the UKGE 2 years ago!), but Tabletop Gaming Live was the first opportunity I've had to try it. 30 seconds into the demo and we knew we'd be coming away with our own copy.
HANABI - tbh I've never been drawn to try this game, it didn't look like much. BUT I played it at a friend's game night recently and it is so much fun - especially after a drink or three! Sometimes good things come in small packages.
More photos to come when we get them to the table 😁

Photo from our walk up to @yourallypally for #Tabletopgaminglive yesterday. The autumnal colours were just starting to creep into the park. This is my favourite time of year, it is beautiful.
This child is asleep, I think the board game expo wore him out! Not even in full pjs poor thing, just wanted to go to bed! Thank you #tabletopgaminglive / @tabletop_gaming_magazine - same again next weekend? ;-)
BLUE LAGOON 🏝 This might be my favorite game from #tabletopgaming live. Easy to learn, but tense, enjoyable and full of tough choices.
Blue Lagoon (2-4 players/ 30-45 mins) is an area control and set collection game about a settlement spreading out over a series of islands.
The turns are simple, place a villager on land, in a boat or a hut. You’ll be making paths with your placement, trying to cover different islands as well as gaining resources. Looking forward to trying this again!
