The thing is, if I would've never become a Beachbody coach, I would've never had the courage to become a swim coach.
It's about so much more than the weight loss!
It's about the way you change from the inside out.
I believe in myself more now than I ever have in my life.
Becoming a coach on Team Stronger Together was the best decision I could have ever made!
Not only am I improving my life, but I'm also improving the lives of others.
Two of the captains talks in the locker room tonight began with, "I was thinking about what Coach Angie taught us...."
I will forever be grateful that I decided to take a chance that has already impacted so many lives.
Are you ready to take a chance on YOU! 💕

Jackson...My oldest son...first born miracle that I prayed for for years! Kind, thoughtful, loving, loyal, tender hearted, and strong. I am so loving this new season of finding and developing his strengths as he grows into a man of God. He will always be my baby and watching the unique way he sees the world makes me love him more. Can’t wait to see what God has in store for this young man. I know it’s something amazing!
The Lion Heart Fund for Cancer Research raises money to support breast cancer research and care at Smilow Cancer Hospital. We're incredibly grateful to the Southern Connecticut Conference Swim teams who are participating in lap-a-thons to raise funds for Lion Heart this month! They're energy and support is an inspiration. Thank you!
Dryland… the thing all us swimmers have been running away from our whole lives. Sweat, gravity, people... disgusting. But, it does have its uses when it comes to getting the most out of your Swimming Machine. Or at least, we think it does. The trick is to use Dryland training in the correct way, focus on swimming motions all the time and DON’T GET HURT!
Let’s be very clear on what Dryland training is and it is not for when it comes to swimming. Dryland is for:
- Body awareness and control (especially in younger swimmers)
- Slightly larger muscle size (especially in girls, pic 1), which means more strength. There is a different optimum muscle mass for each person and for certain races (pic 2)
- Overuse injury prevention for us endurance athletes
- Flexibility training to get better traction on the water (pic 3)
- Train more efficient, coordinated and powerful muscle contractions to get more power out of the same exact set of muscle fibers (pic 4)
Dryland is NOT for getting swole, hitting a new max bench or showing off your pipes. Just remember, Dryland is a supplement to swim training, it is not a replacement and it should not get in the way of what we do in the water, like making us sore or heavy.
We shall discuss in detail, but here is a link to the full awesomeness:
Yesterday at the @funnybone CO with my husband @mr_get_no_sleep. I gifted @toya_turnup a custom @ShereeAlexis clutch and matching headwrap. She was super cool just like last year when I met her at @funnybone DYT. Thank you and I hope you love your gift. She also rocked the shirt we @shereenicoledesigns gifted her last year in her video. Whoot whoot. Much success to you and thank you again 🙌🏾🎉 @watchjazzy @toya_turnup @tinagray24 Thank you! 😘

I’m doing a good job of keeping my right arm tight against my head during my breakout. But I’m losing my body position as I’m lifting my head before I take a breath. I’m pleased that my breath timing is much improved though.
