These are just a few of my favorite things... 💜💜
Hey, I’m Stephanie and if you’re following me, I’m so grateful for you! A little about me: I’m a mom, I’m a wife, I have two home businesses (this one where I make signs and my gluten free home bakery @sweetisabellascupcakery- named after my daughter). I live on a farm and we raise various birds and painted desert sheep. I started Hunter Bear Designs (named after my son) officially about one year ago and thanks to all of you, you’re helping to make it a success! So I just wanted to send a huge shout out to all of you, my friends, and happy Saturday! ❤️
It’s a busy and exciting Friday night over here... 🎂🍰🥧 For those of you who don’t know, on top of my sign business, I also have a gluten free home bakery. My 8 year old daughter has celiac disease and because I never want her to feel deprived, I started a home bakery a few years ago. I absolutely love to bake, and even though I don’t get to bake as much as I used to, (because I’ve been busy with making signs) I do bake as much as I can. I have a birthday party I’m prepping for tomorrow and I have 60 gluten free/dairy free vanilla and chocolate cupcakes down, and only one more batch to bake. Frosting comes tomorrow... .
Although I don’t post as much as I do on this account, if you’re interested in gluten free baking, cupcakes or cakes, etc., follow my other account @sweetisabellascupcakery ❤️
Happy Wednesday! I’ve been so busy with sign making lately, there hasn’t been much baking going on... I hope to change that soon. .
Sign sale happening over on my other page @hunterbeardesigns ❤️
Today we received an awesome food box from American Gluten Free @americanglutenfree This box was their first Kid's Club Box. All items in this food box are gluten free and dairy free!
Isabella was so excited to receive a whole box full of gluten free goodies! 🤗
Three of the items may already be gone. 😉
I'm especially excited to try out the gluten free brownie mix by @kingarthurflour and the extra crispy Coat & Crunch mix by @aleiasgf for some chicken tenders.
Thanks @americanglutenfree for sharing this awesome box with us!
Do you have plans this weekend? If not, you should head on over to the McKenzie River Artisan Faire in Vida, Oregon, just 20 minutes east of Springfield. It's located at the Vida Community Center on Thompson Lane and is happening from 10am-5pm each day. I'll be donating some of my gluten free cupcakes for the bake sale and I'll have a booth with my other business, Hunter Bear Designs, selling hand painted wood signs, barnwood decor and more! Check out @hunterbeardesigns for a preview.
Hope to see you there!

Happy 5th birthday to my Hunter Bear. 🎉🎈🎉 He is just the sweetest, most kind hearted, ALL boy, little guy. He makes me such a lucky and happy momma.
Hunter loves the Power Rangers and can't wait for the new movie coming out, so he requested a Power Rangers cake for his birthday. This is definitely an old school mask, but an easier one to do. 😊 🎂Gluten free chocolate Power Rangers cake filled and topped with an orange buttercream for Hunter's birthday dinner tonight. 🎂
Two birthday cakes/ cupcakes down✅✅, and one more set of cupcakes to go for tomorrow's party.
It's Friday! Which means it's DONUT FRIDAY (or in today's case, Gluten Free Dairy Free Apple Fritter Friday)! Who else does donut Friday? It's something we do whenever we go visit my mom in California, but it's not as easy here in our small town. When one of your kids can't have gluten, and the nearest store that carries gluten free donuts is 45 minutes away, you try to make your own. So, this was my first attempt at frying donuts. I've tried baked donuts before but they just didn't taste like authentic donuts. These, on the other hand, taste just like donut store apple fritters, minus the gluten! Another recipe courtesy of @gfjules. I didn't have apple cider, so I substituted apple juice, and I didn't have her flour blend so I use Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free 1 to 1 Baking Flour, and these turned out fantastic! The kids, husband and I have already gobbled up a few.

I'm always testing new bread recipes.... This one comes from @gfjules and is her Gluten Free Sandwich Bread recipe. Its definitely more light and airy than others I've tried, thanks to the sparkling water added. I didn't have her bread mix so I just used Bob's Red Mill 1 to 1 Baking Flour. Looking forward to trying this at lunch today. 🍞🍞

Gluten free/sugar free chocolate and vanilla cupcakes topped with gf/sf chocolate and vanilla frosting. Homemade chocolate hearts (using gf/sf chocolate), and homemade sprinkles using Xylitol and food coloring. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
I will be absolutely honest. I don't think I've ever wanted to cry over a batch of cupcakes before but this order of nine dozen sugar-free gluten-free cupcakes put me to the test. I tested out sugarfree frosting two weeks ago and it worked perfectly so I thought that it would be so easy, but yesterday I ended up spending six hours trying to get the frosting to work and it just would never get to the right consistency. I felt so defeated that I even resorted to having my husband pick up sugarfree frosting from the store just in case I couldn't get it to work. All night long I agonized over the fact that I would have to put store-bought frosting (not that there's anything wrong with store bought, but I'm a home bakery) on my cupcakes that I worked so hard to make, and it just drove me crazy. I woke up this morning, put my daughter on the school bus and raced to town (a 25 minutes drive) to get more ingredients to try a different sugar-free recipe. Thankfully, this other recipe worked and I got my nine dozen sugar free gluten-free cupcakes frosted and decorated and delivered just in time today. Yesterday was Valentine's Day, but you wouldn't know it with my kitchen being a disaster for the majority of the day and all my attention on these cupcakes. I had planned on making the family a nice dinner, but thankfully my husband picked up a meal for us to eat since I was still trying to get the cupcakes right. I definitely have some making up to do since I've kind of neglected my family for the last 24-30 hours to get this order done. Luckily, I have an amazing and understanding family and today after I clean up my mess they will get my undivided attention. I'm looking forward to just playing barbies, legos, dress up and superheroes with my babies and cooking that nice dinner for my husband (and kids). Phew... cupcakes done. I'm out (drops the 🎤).
