It’s been a wild last few days and I’ve found myself neglecting to take care of myself! In times of stress it’s so easy to get distracted! ~
It was nice to be able to get in some gym time at Planet Fitness and just reflect, sweat, and let go!
Is Disneyland hangover a thing? I am wiped out today and Logan is getting irritated easier than normal. We're unwinding while watching Home Alone and I'm on my second coffee of the day. I need to make a Costco run, but that'll have to wait a couple hours.

I’m a person that believes everything happens for a reason. This is my job & a piece of the product line brought in 5 yrs ago with the idea to help our company with overhead power. .
As many may know, I started this job as a high school junior going into my senior year. Never did I think I’d be here 19 yrs later. .
As things go, I worked hard to earn rankings in the company. Knowing myself now, it’s probably one of the biggest reasons this job lasted as long as it did. If I’m challenged, I will prove that I can. .
That being said the last few years since finding my passion for helping others in their health & fitness, I’ve lost my drive in this industry all the while dealing with physical setbacks that prevented me from “just pushing through it”. .
Going into 2019, I feel like I’m in a turning point and for the first time in my adult life ready to step forward and do something new. Working in a factory has always made me feel restrained & held back. Because of not knowing better, I let it (as much as my ADD allowed anyway! 😉) ..
I’m so thankful that I have invested in my team & personal growth enough to know “This company is not who I am. I am not PLP, PLP is not me” I can do, be and have more in my life than just a job. .
I’m not saying anything about being grateful but I’m saying is if you aren’t happy with something in your life, that is just a circumstance to your situation. And you get to choose the situation you stay in, for your life. .

Don't wait until you lose those last 10 pounds.

Excuse the ugly face, messy hair, and Christmas pants this morning! What you can't see is the pineapple socks, Haha! Anyway, Keegan finally went to sleep at 4:10 this morning (he does this sometimes when we aren't in our bed) and my alarm went off at 6. I "accidentally" cut it off but God had other plans and woke me at 6:23. I rushed to get ready in the dark to make it down at 6:41 to set up... .but of course not before my "mommy juice"!
I could have slept in. I wanted to sleep in. But God reminded me that we only have so many sunrises in our lifetime. Why not witness every one we are able to?! Yes, I froze. My fingers hurt breaking down my tripod but I got to watch God's beauty while talking with him this morning. There's truly no better start to my morning than this!
Had a hot date tonight with the ARC trainer followed by 20 minutes of weights to try and burn off some of the pizza I ate earlier. Not all days are great days, but old me would’ve eaten everything served to me at the restaurant then would’ve gone home and snacked on the couch all night. Making progress everyday and continuing to change my life for the better 💪🏼

Walking around picking up the remnants of the day & wondering where the last 12 - No- let’s say 16 hours of the day went??
But if you got through today and your kids were fed, you had some good parenting moments and you still feel like you didn’t accomplish anything, I just wonder if you are doing anything for you?
We do it all for them.
It’s our job and responsibility.
We won’t change that but we are also getting lost in those hours more than we care to admit. There’s always a little part of us who thinks we can do one more thing, one more load of laundry, one more story, one more month until we make a change.
Maybe, this is the month you say it’s okay that the kids watch Netflix while you catch up on a really good book you have been wanting to read, you forgo a quick tidy during nap time and sweat it out amidst the toys and laundry piles. You sit down to eat a meal that is balanced and not the leftovers from their plates, another cup of coffee and a handful of crushed goldfish.
Trust me, once you start squeezing in a little bit for you, you will be better for everything else even the 10pm tidy before you plop on the couch feeling more satisfied that you are MORE THAN JUST
MOM.✌🏻 And Moms help other moms so don’t think I’m not where you are now, because I am! I just know my mom friends and my kids and hubby know that this mama has to get a bit of #metime to be better at all that.⬆️ You already make it work to fit all that other stuff in daily, what makes you think you don’t deserve a bit of #metime too??
Was such a beautiful day I decided to stop at the track after grocery shopping and get a quick run in. Not my fastest, but not my slowest!! And this was after an amazing MMA workout....not to mention I had to pee super bad half way through the run! 😂🙈 my bladder just doesn’t work like it used to! Haha.

Thankfully I have a very understanding bestie. I got confirmation this morning that next weeks delivery was being delivered today. Although we were supposed to leave at 9 am for the beach, she understood me not wanting to leave a $1200 camera on the porch with no one home! I told her to give me until 12 to see if FEDEX delivered and this sweet thang was delivered at 11:54! •
Pictures taken with this are delivered straight to my phone and at 24 megapixels, that makes this mama extremely happy! Although my Galaxy S9 plus takes amazing pictures, 24 is always better than 12!
Now to convince myself I haven't been out of the "game" for too long (almost 6 years) and decide whether or not to set up some Christmas minis! But first, maybe a sunrise shoot with my girl in the morning!
This year, don’t spend your time talking about YOUR fitness gains - help them with THEIRS!! ALL of us have family that need a change and are intimidated by what you might be doing and where you’re at. You have an opportunity to SHOW them that they can do it too! Take your dumbbells home for Thanksgiving and get some family bonding time in!!
The Street Parking SHIFT program is perfect for beginners. The required equipment is a set of dumbbells OR a kettlebell. That’s it. Other options are thrown in for those with more, but every workout is designed and can be completed with only that. The SHIFT workouts are a scaled version of the daily workout for those who may be new this type of training, returning from injury, pregnant/postpartum, seniors, even KIDS! As of now they are posted every Mon, Wed, Fri - but coming Jan 2019 will be posted 5 days a week. The SHIFT program comes with any regular SP membership. And don’t get confused...they are not “EASY” - just more simple....perfect for apartments or travel workouts too!

Now the quest to 75 for the Infamous hoodie has begun.

My #workout this morning had a LOT more to do with my #mentalhealth than my physical health. 💯 The #stress and inconvenience of the #poweroutage is starting to wear on me a bit. Yes, we have a generator. No, it’s not enough to run the whole house. We’ve had no running water since Thursday evening. 😒 We’ve been using buckets of pond water to *occassionaly* flush our toilets. 🤦🏼♀️ Where I normally stream workouts, today I dug out a DVD & got it DONE. #sweattherapy ..
It’s hard to imagine that this is who I’ve become. I would have been more upset about HAVING to workout in the past. If you would have told me I’d NEED to sweat for my mental health a few years ago I would have said you were insane. ... But, here we are! It can be YOU too. What stops most people is the START. 3 weeks later and my latest program is DONEZO!
When we first started, we did a cardio fit test and a strength fit test. At the end of each week, we revisited these same workouts and we’ve been able to see just how much we’ve improved every step of the way.
I think this was my favorite aspect of the program because THE SCALE IS STUPID. So many people judge their progress solely on the number on the scale and have an unrealistic expectation in their head of what that number should be, and they often don’t realize that they’re making HUGE progress each week in their workouts.
Their reps are increasing, they’re lifting heavier weights, they are FINISHING THE MOVES when they weren’t before, they are no longer modifying, they’re modifying less - these are all signs of improvement that people sometimes don’t even think about.
I have no idea what the number on the scale is going to say tomorrow or what my measurements will be, but I do know that today my reps increased by 107 and THAT I am happy about.
