This muscle didn’t happen overnight. 💪 It happened over months and months of hard work.
That may seem overwhelming to you. I know that it used to seem impossible to me and just thinking about how long it would take me to get there made me quit before I even started.
It wasn't until I stopped focusing on the end goal and started focusing on better health that I stopped feeling like it was impossible and overwhelming.. Guess what!?! When I just focused on consistent health, everything else just fell I to place. 🙌 Weight came off, muscles formed, confidence sprouted.
I'm not special. If I can do it, you can do it. It just takes making a decision to start making yourself and your health a priority.

Q: What changes did you make to achieve this transformation?
A: The impetus was my brother and I signing up for a trail race. I started training in January for the run which was in September. I knew I needed to be in good shape to be able to complete the race, so on days I didn’t feel like working-out I would picture myself tapping out during the run…that always got me up and going. With the amount of running and CrossFit I was doing for training I felt like I was eating snacks throughout the day to refuel, but two rules I followed strictly:
-No calories after dinner (we eat early, about 5:30pm most nights)
-Diet soda’s or carbonated drinks with no calories (carbonation and I are best friends)
Q: What would you tell someone thatis wanting to transform their body?
A: Find what motivates you. I know I thrive on external motivation – in this case a trail race I didn’t want to DNF. So that was key for me. My brother and I finished the race in September and it was an amazing feeling of accomplishment because of all the hard work we put in. Honestly, the getting in shape part was a byproduct of my primary goal (finishing the race). I also love to eat (who doesn’t?) so make sure you find a nutrition plan that works for you. I never felt like I was depriving myself of food, so get a plan that you can stick with for the long haul.
Key word:motivation! You have to push yourself to do better and feel better, just sitting around and not making a change won't solve it. I'm guilty of it! I was so active and then I stopped because of internal struggles. Now I'm back to it and remember why I loved working out! Get out there and make a change! Diet, water intake, going for a walk! Happy Tuesday fam! Had myself a great workout and decided to take a minute to look at myself. I am constantly going forth between thinking I’m enough and thinking there’s so much more I need to do. But today I just took in my unique beauty and I am at peace. I’m doing the best I can. 😃🙌🏾

When my alarm went off this morning I was in such a deep sleep. I could’ve hit snooze and went back to sleep, but I’ve got goals to hit and sleeping wouldn’t help me with those. So I got up, drank my wake up juice, and pushed play! I also know how busy my schedule is today after school and there just wouldn’t be time for a workout. When I get my workout done in the morning, I set my day up for success. Do something today your body will thank you for!
