I was chatting with my friend today about how it’s been almost a month since I felt well enough to push myself hard in a work out. Fitness is a part of my life, my self-care routine and it’s still startling how much it impacts my mental well-being! Like A LOT. 🤯 I was in a big time rut this morning and all I could think was ‘I need to burn this bad mood out of my system.’ So I went back to my spirit animal workout (kicking, punching, and a little cardio HIIT) and let it allllll out.
But it got me thinking about all the moms out there who don’t know where to turn, what to do or just need a 🙋♀️. .
If you struggle to maintain a routine do yourself a favor and find a buddy! Having a community of women to root for me not only in the good times, but especially during he rough times has made a huge difference in my life. #bestthingsinceslicedbread

🌟As I’ve mentioned, I was working through a 5 week Blood Flow Restriction Training Plan. With BFR, the protocol is to use very light weights and high reps with short rest periods. Now it’s time to have some fun transitioning out of that and into some HEAVY lifts! 💪🏼
🌟I love changing up my workout plans every 4-6 weeks. This continually challenges my body to adapt and grow. It keeps me engaged and excited as I’m learning and trying new exercises and techniques.

Roast ‘em if you got ‘em😉. Here’s a little of my train of thought... Every time we see someone smoking 🚬, my husband says, “smoke ‘em if you got ‘em”. Hence the roast ‘em...👆 I say instead of doing something yuck for you (like eating a bag of chips with your giant Diet Coke) roast some veggies after you take a walk this afternoon 👊. The squashes are 👌 right now!

All you need is the length of a yoga mat to get in a workout that will supercharge your metabolism in 20 mins! This is a perfect routine if you’re time and space limited, but still looking to get in an effective workout #strong
I like to throw in a couple of high intensity moves like “skaters” and “squat jacks” to keep the heart rate up and balance out the more strength focused moves. This circuit will test your coordination and help you build the stamina and power that carries over to other important areas of life...like running away from creeps🤣
Here’s the lowdown on the workout *down*
💥Negative push ups
Go FULL throttle for 30 secs and rest for 15 seconds before the next move. Do 3 rounds with 1 min breaks in between and you’re set for a 20 min killer workout 🙌🏽
INTENTION • One of the most beautiful things is being able to find your practice in any setting so it doesn’t become dependent on certain variables. Yoga teaches us responsibility for our mind, body and spirit. We love that you all come to the mat with different intentions, it’s what makes us unique.
This week try to listen to that inner voice so you can feel like you’re working toward your intention regardless of the teacher, music and sequence.
