TAG SOMEONE WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED AT OUR LOCAL DEMOS.
Today we had a really bad start with our turkey outreach.
Many people were in town but were walking by without even stopping or watching.
We moved around and the city rangers were called upon us, apparently we were ruining the businesses at the Christmas market.
"We understand your protest but these sellers pay lots of money to stay here and you put people off meat".
Is this not what our outreach was supposed to do? And if just a footage is putting people off doesn't mean probably we are exposing something unacceptable?
We moved location to not cause problems with the vigilantes and we carried on our protest.
I spoke with a guy who stopped at our last cube of truth and he said he tried already vegan alternatives and dairy free milk. He made my day ❤
I have decided that it’s about time we did a competition.
So how do you fancy receiving December’s Cake Club box on us?
December’s Box is obviously going to be Inspired by Christmas, and will contain 6 different Christmassy flavours, choice of vegan or gluten free box.
It can be either the postal or local option, so the competition is open to everyone, not just those who live in the Swansea area.
To enter just like the post and comment ‘ yes please’. You don’t have to share the post but it would be much appreciated.
Alternatively you can enter on the market stall this weekend on Swansea Marina or next weekend in Uplands. Both markets will have a competition box where you can fill in your details and enter.
Please note: Local boxes are being delivered Christmas Eve between 10 and 2pm and Postal Boxes are being sent out on Thursday 20th December by first class.
Closing date for entries will be Midnight Monday 17th December and on Tuesday 18th December my trusty assistant - aka Izzy - will be picking the winner out on video, which we will post on here and then contact the winner by message or email - which ever we have.

The weather today is utterly miserable. I’m still in my PJs and eating a late breakfast as I’m working on a talk that I’m giving tomorrow 😱
I decided to make fancy pants porridge (I’m the princess of procrastination, after all) so I added cocoa powder, orange juice, tahini, cardamom and cinnamon to my usual porridge oats and oat milk. This one’s pretty festive. 🎄
At our last cube a woman and a daughter stopped in front of me.
Mam watched for few seconds and she said "oh my god! I can't watch I can't stay!".
The girl (i believe around 8-10yo) asked to stay to watch and her mam said "are you sure you want to watch? It will put you off your sausages".
She nod her head.
The daughter wanted to stay, she came in front of the laptop and her mam asked again "I can't stay are you sure you want to watch?".
At the end the daughter gave up and they left the cube.
We only accept to see want we are comfortable to see and not to face.
Knowing that someone is in your plate and not something makes you think, and thinking may lead to a confrontation. It's called comfort zone and trespassing that line means you might find different answers about something that you never question, like your morality.
I’m doing a @HistFest uk talk next week about the history of Welsh food. What’s the story behind traditional dishes like cawl and laver bread? Did you know that whiskey maker Jack Daniels was Welsh? Or that an Argentinian version of bara brith, called torta negra, is still eaten in Patagonia today? Join me @waterstones in Swansea at 6.30pm on 6 December. Head to the link in my bio for more details.
