In classes this week, we’ve tried to tether between the seemingly disparate poles of fish and eagle, seabed and celestial sphere, inward contemplation and outward spaciousness. I love reading myths of Vishnu’s Matsyavatar and assuming seemingly impossible creatures—adding eagle arms to a fish body.
We practiced Garuda arms in Matsyasana to remind us that the legendary eagle is the vahana (mount) of Vishnu. As Vishnu is the maintainer of the universe, Garuda has the power to stop the spinning of the earth with a flap of his wings. Potential destruction carries sustenance.
I find this to be so true in my life—my ability to nurture the seeds I plant is based on my ability and willingness to destroy. To let go.
Matsyasana in its most advanced form gifts buoyancy on water—Padmasana legs move the center of gravity closer to the head thus allowing it to float above the water. One can literally still breathe. The more compact my form gets (especially by connecting my hastas with my padas), the more my breath expands. The easier it is to go with the current.
While I haven’t tried to get into this pose in the water, I can imagine the buoyancy. I can even imagine floating on the air.
It is through these myths and assumption of other beings that I learn how to support myself—the importance of continually shedding to fly, of ascending to great depths within and without. What is my natural wingspan? What size container have I placed myself in? Are my wings caught tight? Am I hanging out in too small of a bowl because I’m comfortable being the big fish? Do I intimately know my surroundings? And, simultaneously, am I in awe of all that is around me? Can I make my nest and still call everywhere home?
Both the water and air are two currents to drift on—reminders to thoroughly explore the waters within and the airs without, supported by the gift of transformation.
Reading for today 🔮📿
Moon now entering Pisces ♓️ the two swimming emotional fish, I kinda like this sign, I see the fish as ‘in and out’ fast moving emotions.
We become a bit ‘dream like in Pisces moon’, dreams, hopes, aspirations all swimming up to the surface.
A time we recognise those tittal tattle gossip mongers and think 🙄🙄 pissoff I ain’t got time for this 👋🏼.
The in and out process, no lingering, this is a great time for self reflection, being grateful for how far you have come, grateful for those that helped you, take cleansing salt 🧂 baths, burn incense, pull an oracle card and keep it with you until Pisces ♓️ has done its job, assisted you to go in and come out, fresh cleansed and ready to continue a much more peaceful and hassle free life
#whispersoflordganeshaoracle#sustenance ‘Enjoy the nourishment that life can give you’
Lord Ganesha tells us all you are in a time of great abundance, your desires can be supported, but mindfulness is called for, whilst Ganesha can give you the wisdom, knowledge and protection to move forwards with your dreams and hearts desires, Buddha comes to assist Ganesha and asks you be mindful in all you do, not to take for granted what you are offered for it is seen and can be removed as fast as it came.
‘Ancient and wise, a powerful and authoritative beast, a conqueror of spirits. It’s strengths of discipline, determination and assertiveness are self evident. It’s fiery breath will vanquish all indecision’
Full moon card shows surrender to the Divine, a conclusion a turning point, but this may come via and explosion, the odds are in your favour, remember Pisces fish, say it, leave it, let it be, ‘in and out!’
A wish some of you made will come true 😉😘. Chariot assists you now you will not have to make the decision of which way to go, it will be no matter what!! It will be for the good of your long term future. Life is going to be good enjoy the sustenance, cleansed baths clear the air with incense meditation, MINDFULNESS 🙏🏻

The garden is hot mess these days.
So much to be cleaned up and cleaned out.
There is bermuda grass in one bed, maybe two. Dormant now, but it will be back with a vengeance in a few short months. Remnants of basil and pepper plants, put to an end by the frosts of the season. Trellises adorned with the browned vines from a failed attempt at a late crop of cucumbers and snap beans. Asparagus that needs to be cut back. And a slew of other intruders I have yet to identify.
It can be quite overwhelming and often leaves me with a sense of hopelessness and defeat.
But as I take another look, I am reminded that there is also sustenance in my midst.
Collards, turnips and lettuces bursting forth in their various hues of green, eye candy to the gardener’s sense of sight. Kales and chards and mustards add color and texture. Broccolis stand tall, proud of their beauty. Cabbages, patiently awaiting their day of glory.
Oregano, dill, parsley and sage provide the promising scent of a new season on the horizon. And the ever present rosemary, standing tall and strong, for the remembrance of seasons passed.
My eyes and my soul are filled with comfort as I realize all is not lost.
And then, as I stoop low in search of a new perspective, I discover below the surface of the larger and more common sustenance, that which often goes unnoticed and is deemed unwelcome. In the shadows of the obvious, my hands welcome the humble hellos of the chickweed, hen bit and cleavers. That which my hands did not nestle into the garden dirt.
It’s these things - the unexpected, the unplanned, the unmanaged, the often dismissed - that have the possibility of bringing about the most goodness to our lives.
And with the realization of that, I am completely undone as I realize just. how. much. goodness. surrounds me in this moment and every moment hereafter… ❤️ #words#seasons#creationspeaksloud#healing#thoughts#life#sustenance#livingfractals#alifewhollylived#creategrowlive#sanctuaryfarmstead
