Playing with bands to work on my hips and glutes. A lot of us have day jobs with a LOT of sitting involved. While we need to keep moving, we need to reverse the effects of sitting. 
You really need to loosen tight muscles and get those muscles that become weak and inactive from sitting, activated and working correctly and efficiently again.
For me it has become necessary to include glutes and hip mobility in my workouts.
If you sit a lot during the day, your hips are tight from being in that constant flexion/bent state. This tightness causes your glutes to often shut off and become weak at activating, which means all of your lunging, squatting and even deadlifting may not actually be activating those glutes!
You are potentially risking injury as now other muscles are engaging and ‘taking over’ so that you can do your lunges, squats and deadlifts. Muscles that should NOT and probably cannot handle the load.
Have you ever wondered why your lower back may hurt? 
It is probably because your glutes aren’t actually working and engaging because they aren’t activated. And they are not activated because your hips are so tight and locked up.

Strong glutes are essential in almost every sport, as they are responsible for accelerating, decelerating, changing directions and creating explosive power in jumps. They are also responsible for effective hip extension.

For my runners out there - that includes you #BURNtribe, - did you know that sprinting is one of the most effective exercises for stimulating the glutes, activating 234 percent more of the gluteus maximus muscle than a vertical jump. Athletes with strong glutes will be faster, more efficient and explosive in their movements than athletes with weaker glutes.

El burpee es un ejercicio muy completo en el que se trabaja fuerza, resistencia y coordinación. 
Al realizarlo involucrarmos la mayoría de los músculos de nuestro cuerpo, ya que están implicados los pectorales, tríceps, hombros, cuádriceps, femorales, gemelos, abdominales y glúteos. Además introduciendo alguna variable a los “típicos” burpees podríamos  involucrar algún otro músculo.

A parte de trabajar de manera eficiente fuerza y potencia, es un excelente ejercicio cardiovascular, ya que con tan solo hacer una serie corta, se puede observar como aumenta la respiración y el ritmo cardíaco de forma acelerada. Siempre lo recomiendo si lo que buscamos es adelgazar y perder tejido adiposo. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- ALWAYS ASK ME: What is the burpee good for?
