The texture and the colors are really driving the direction of this painting. It has been a really enjoyable experience creating this piece..it certainly helps to be married to the person you are painting. 😊
Have you seen the huge collection of beautiful hand dyed and woven fabrics from Kalamalka Weavers and Spinners? Shop Artsolutely and support local artisans now until December 24th at the Art Centre in Polson Park!
Do you have a child that just loves the Donut Shop? Did one of your parents work at Burns Shoe Store? Got to stop by the Malt Shop every time you come home? One of my favorite parts about doing this is listening to the stories that people tell me and what it reminds them of. Give that warm nostalgic feeling this Christmas. #supportlocalartists#supportlocalart#natchezartist#natchezms
Meet Robert Bean! Born and raised in Arkansas, Robert knew from an early age that drawing and painting were going to be a major part of his life. Inspired by the pulpy pages of comic books, Robert grew his love of drawing into a love of storytelling as well. Seeking the story in every image, Robert spent two decades honing his craft and expanding beyond those early panel to panel pages. He works to develop a visual vocabulary that supports his images and includes actual writing in his art as well. Robert has exhibited his work nationally and is the chair of the Painting and Drawing departments at the Museum School of The @arkartscenter. Robert lives in Little Rock. Pick up a sketchbook with Robert’s artwork on the front and then begin to fill the pages with your own inspired drawings and paintings!
