Everytime I've undergone a new transition in life, I find myself caught un in some kind of fanatical effort to bring the chaos into some perfect little bullseye where I think I can find pure balance even though I know that's not logical or even possible. Transition brings chaos and for myself, someone with a history of trauma, my body reacts with more aches pains, stomach upset, restlessness and the feeling of wanting to escape.
So with that I've decided to challange myself to embrace every single piece of discomfort and go against the grain. I have a book with daily readings and have decided to journal daily...not something I enjoy doing. I'm normally fairly private but feel the need to create a daily post and invite anyone that wants to join in. Everyday the readings topic will be posted and a question I pose myself an anyone who wants to join. Just to be clear, I'm NOT SELLING ANYTHING! As a therapist, I'm simply putting it out there that everyone struggles no matter what kind of experience or training we have.
The plan I'm making is simple and easy to commit to.
1. Meditate daily for at least 10 minutes. (Guided, quiet time, body scan etc...)
2. Journal daily.
3. Limit screen time for more engagement with people/nature.
4. Commit to daily readings for 130 days.
I'll being posting topics tomorrow and will embrace feedback of any kind.
I’ve experienced traumas so gut-wrenching that I was seriously doubtful I’d ever get past them😢
Day to day was stressful and I felt paralyzed by fear which kept me from moving forward
Needing a creative outlet I shared what I was going through on FB not even realizing that statistics show recovery happens at a faster rate with support
Picture this: a safe place where you are free to be you, where you’ll receive support and encouragement from other women just like you who are learning to say ‘yes’ to themselves with ease! .
Type: bit.ly/braveglobal now + join so I can add you and give you warm welcome into our sisterhood💕xo

Sometimes all you need is some cute motivation work out attire to get you going. which is the case for me today. However I know what its like to still get dressed im ur fav workout get up and feel the urge to be lazy, that's when you gotta dig deeper and remind yourself why you started.
One of the best things that has helped me through out my health & fitness journey is having a group of like-minded individuals who want to help me and cheer me on. If your currently struggling with your fitness/ health goals, I wanna know have you considered having a fool proof support system? Would that helping you to stay focused && Motivated?

Leg day for me today! I was reading an article about workout burn out. I'm not there yet, but I have been! I really am loving the Body Beast and I just have a few weeks to go to finish the program!
Anyway if you are experiencing an exercise burn out, there are some things you can do to help with this. It isn't abnormal at all! We all go through periods of time where we feel tired of doing the same thing or we we are lacking some motivation.
1. Change your routine. When I finish a program I like to move on to another or a hybrid.
2. Other physical activities besides your work out. We like to run, bike, hike, or play racquetball.
3. Recognize wins... like I held the push-up hold longer than last week.
4. Make daily goals- like I'm going to increase my lift weight by 5 pounds and 5 reps.
5. Ask for support.
What helps you stay motivated?
