So, this could be cool... possible Korean marvel hero movie in the works, according to @deadline and @koreasianmedia 🇰🇷🙋🏻♀️🕸 with a character named Cindy Moon who was bit by a spider around the same time as Peter Parker. They're on the same debate team in school. She shoots web from her fingertips and is faster though not as strong as spiderman (OK, what's up with the not as strong part?).
This is probably the most valuable picture I own of me as Spider-Man. In my work counseling young children, I encounter all manners of challenges and heartbreaking stories as well as stories that give me hope. This student of mine has been wrestling with suicidal ideation, and multiple times I’ve had to pull him back and re-instill hope in his little world. One hour before this picture was taken he had isolated himself and was in a catatonic state, completely nonverbal. After we “talked” via a whiteboard for half an hour, he spoke again and was able to reintegrate with his peers and partake in the day’s festivities. I returned a little while later as Spider-Man and he smiled and asked me to take a picture with him. This was that picture I will treasure for the rest of my life because it reminds me the tremendous good my cosplay can bring to my most vulnerable kids. Cosplay has added a completely new dimension to my work that I previously was unable to tap into. Peter Parker once said to Mr. Stark, “I’m nothing without the suit.” I would amend that statement to “I’m better at what I do with the suit.” 🤟🏽🕸❤️💙 Fight on, my webheads!
I used to be Superman. Now I often think, "What happened to you, man?" The past two weeks have been the hardest work weeks in the 2 1/2 years I've been a case manager. I definitely don't feel worthy of the costume in this picture. There is no S on my chest, only hair and the pounding realization that I can't fly away.
My brother was smart. He was Batman. Batman has a cool car.
