Sometimes I take a breather or talk it out with a colleague, other times I cry after work or even in the break room, other times I process it later at home sitting on my meditation mat and saying a prayer for the victim. Every time I tell myself I was someone who helped during a tragedy and that I was there to bear witness and act in service to others. Some Emergency Physicians turn to alcohol or even drugs (illicit or prescribed.) But not me. Everyday I sweat it out in my home gym, especially after dealing with a sad or tragic case. Working out is my daily therapy and so cathartic and such a great release. It’s what allows me to keep doing this difficult and trying job. I’m so thankful to have found this positive outlet of fitness. What’s your outlet for the sad things you see and deal with?

📝INGREDIENTS:
▪️1 Cup Fresh Kale
▪️1/2 Cup Lettuce Leaves
▪️1/2 Head Broccoli Or Brussels Sprouts
▪️1 Large Avocado
▪️1/4 Cup pine nuts
▪️1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
▪️1 Small Handfull Alfalfa Sprouts
▪️50 g Danish Feta Cheese 1.75 oz
▪️1 Fresh Red Chilli
▪️2 Tbsp olive oil
▪️1 tsp Salt
▪️1 tsp Pepper
.
👩‍🍳INSTRUCTIONS:
◼️Preheat an oven to 180C (355F). Slice the kale into “chip” sized pieces, place them on a baking tray, cover with olive oil and bake for 10-15 mins until crispy.
◼️Slice the broccoli (or brussels sprouts) into florets and slice those florets in half. In a frying pan lined with oil, cook the broccoli cut side down for 10 mins, adding the pine nuts in for the last 5 mins.
◼️Remove the kale from the oven, and place in a bowl with the sliced lettuce leaves.
◼️Add in the broccoli and pine nuts once sufficiently browned.
◼️Slice the avocado and red chili, crumble the feta cheese. Serve warm.

💕 свежий ананас
💕 пассион фрут (маракуйа)
💕 кокосовый йогурт
Ну и...не очень полезная, но ооочень вкусная печенька😋🍪!!

Galletas de macadamia y chocolate
Ingredientes:
-  ½ taza de mantequilla
-  1 taza de spread de macadamia Bowl Bar
-  ¾ de taza de azúcar glass
-  1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla
-  2 tazas de harina
-  1 tableta de chocolate amargo
-  ¼ de taza de nueces de macadamia picadas finamente.
Preparación: Derrite la mantequilla y mezcla con el spread de macadamia. Agrega la vainilla, el azúcar y la harina. Guarda la masa en una bolsa ziploc y refrigera por 2 horas. Precalienta el horno a 176º y saca la mezcla del refrigerador. Cubre una charola con papel encerado. Haz un rectángulo con la mezcla y un rodillo para darle el grosor que desees. Con un chuchillo corta porciones chicas y sepáralas en la charola para hornear. Hornea por 20 minutos o hasta que las galletas se vuelvan doradas. Derrite el chocolate y remoja la mitad de las galletas en él. Después agrega la macadmia picada en cada una de ellas y deja enfriar. ¡Disfruta!

Ingredients:
• 100g plant-based yogurt • 200g frozen mango
• 50g strawberries • 1/2 pink dragon fruit
Toppings:
• Matcha • Coconut flakes • Blueberries • Blackberries • Granola
• White chia seeds
Method:
1. Blend all ingredients and top with toppings.

Did you know that it takes 50 litres of water to produce just one orange? Throwing away food wastes the resources that went into producing it. Not sure what to do with your oranges? Squeeze them and freeze the juice in ice cube trays for a refreshing kick (pop them in a glass of the water that you saved by not wasting your oranges!). 🍊

Peanut Sauce
Ingredientes:
-  ½ taza de peanut butter Bowl Bar
-  2 cucharadas de salsa de soya
-  2 cucharadas de jarabe de maple puro
-  2 cucharadas de jugo de limón dulce
-  2 cucharadas de cilantro picado finamente
-  ½ taza de jengibre en polvo
-  ¼ de cucharada de ajo en polvo
-  ½ cucharadita de aceite de sésamo
-  ¼ de cucharadita de salsa picante (opcional)
-  ¼ de taza de agua

Preparación:
Mezcla todos los ingredientes menos el agua en un bowl y bate hasta que quedo todo muy bien mezclado. Poco a poco añade el agua según el espesor que quieres que tenga la salsa, por ejemplo más liquida para usar como aderezo y más espesa para usar como dip. ¡Disfruta!
