‘Mama it’s a breakfast party!’ I think my three year old managed to describe Pearly King Cake’s incredible Berlin Früstück perfectly. What wonderful food and SO generous in choice and amount -it was like loading up your plate during a breakfast buffet on holiday. We started with grapefruit fizz with a coffee chaser and then eased in with fruit salad, followed by overnight oats. There was a tray of smoked meat; cheeses; an array of breads and bagels; lox; whipped goat’s curd; gin & bramble jam; house-made hazelnut butter; pumpkin waffles; banana loaf cake; super veg loaf cake; brioche bread and butter pudding and melon! That whipped goat’s curd was so good -especially with the gin bramble jam (which I’ll be stealing the litre pot of) on top or the hazelnut butter alongside. Sunday’s will never be the same again now. Also big up the Bristol-Essex crew ✊🏾👊🏾🤜🏾💥🤛🏾💁🏾♀️😆
I interrupt my typical muted colored feed to share something different. I had the privilege of listening to THE Luis Palau speak last night at church.
I was humbled to be in his presence and for those that may not know who he is, besides Googling him, I will tell you he is an incredible evangelist who has traveled the world spreading the Gospel and bringing people to Christ.
As he approaches the end of his time here on earth with stage 4 cancer, he continues to share the gospel and invite others to accept this offer to know the Lord. He does so unapologetically, boldly and often. This offer is available to us ALL and as he said, “not because we deserve it but because He loves us.”
Everyone has a story and a past and some of us think we are unworthy of such a gift but that is not the TRUTH.
I pray that we may all choose to accept this incredible gift and that we shall too live our lives boldly and unapologetically for the Lord!
