The Midwest Monsters Podcast
Redux! Do-over! Revisit! Call it whatever you want! The only decision we arrived at was that our original “Summer Horror” episode was not to our liking. While it had some moments of execution; overall we thought this topic that we enjoy needed another go-round. We are pleased with the results this time and we hope you will be too. Show is now available on iTunes, podbean, mixcloud and our blog. Stay cool and enjoy the show!
Every Summer..since 2009. I watch a GrindHouse style double feature with commercials, trailers and "coming attractions n our feature presentation bumpers"
So this years double feature were two ridiculously silly shark movies...
GHOST SHARK is one hell of a fun and silly shark film from syfy channel. Seriously it a ghost shark that attacks people through any source of water...pools, bathtubs, slip n slides, rainfall, toilets and cups of water. Theres fun death scenes and even the cool @coolduder is in it.
Now "HouseShark" does have some fun scenes but sadly its constant parody style comedy and dialogue that tries to hard to be funny just sadly doesnt work.
Angela, why won’t you answer me? ⛺️ We we’re talking about “Sleepaway Camp” just the other day, and then there it was on #thelastdriveinwithjoebobbriggs So now I’m watching on @shudder | photo credit to #Shudder
Just watched #TheSand and I may have laughed way too much at this one. Weird. Gross. Cheesey. Slightly SyFy Original feeling 😂😂😂 It's currently streaming on Amazon for those of you with Prime. #summerhorror#beachbodies#summergore
Same spot different book. I upgraded the space a bit so I can have my beverage up higher. .
I'm participating in my first online study session tonight (normally I work during them) so I'm soaking up all the sun and reading before that starts in 2.5 hours.
30 years ago on August 19th Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master was released. Even then the horror sequel was the summer blockbuster... and got the MTV promo treatment with Robert Englund hamming it up!
Haven’t been super active the last little while. Summer has a way of doing that. I’ll have more weird clips and commercials lined up after I get back from Newfoundland. Enjoy your summer.
Just when you thought it was safe to stay out of the water. Imagine if Jaws had been set in South Africa! If you missed our Independence Day special, go check it out now on iTunes, Podbean and Google Play!
