#TB to Kleine Scheidegg and Swissman finishline. Great race, beatiful but extremely brutal mountains. It took almost 15h to get to the finishline, but it was worth it! During the run I had couple of very bad segments and I suffered more than ever. But when the final 9 km climb to Kleine Scheidegg started I was able to push it with a good pace. Perfect day, perfect finish! Thank you @anniinalaaksonen and @sami.mattila.78 for great support during the race and @lemmettyla for coaching! 👏
Thank you SWISSMAN! 📷@sampolenzi .
Swissman 2018 support for @evo8181 was a great experience! As always support is a hard and dedicated job. The amazing scenery and journey from Ascona to Kleine Scheidegg, the tri atmosphere (which you have to experience to understand), the team work, the athlete's ups and downs, the joy of a good result and @evo8181 emptying the tank makes it all worth it. And I really would to do this myself once!! Do you read me @suixtri?? 🤣🤣 #swissman#suixtri#extremetriathlon#triathlon
Suffering with a view
I gotta be honest. It took me almost 3 hours to climb the Kleine Scheidegg and I only remember 30 minutes.
My boy Lasse told me after the race that I was zigzagging up the whole way... Actually I don't believe that! I climbed that hill with the grace of a goat 🐐
Nothing beats a recovery ride with my buddy @jakob_stev (ladies he is single!!!) and the lads from @engelhornsports
Legs actually felt quite good after the @suixtri and I met a lot of friends who all gave kudos for that effort!
Love that sport
Saturday in the Swiss alps was a 226k self propelled adventure over three mountain passes, finishing with a marathon that gained 2,500 meters of elevation amidst breathtakingly beautiful landscape
This isn’t a race, it’s an adventure. To “race” here and fail to appreciate where you are, and what you are doing, simply discredits the jaw dropping surroundings. From sunrise over Lake Maggiore, to the starkness of switchbacks over high mountain passes. Running past crystal blue lakes, under waterfalls and through bucolic rolling fields. Brutal. Surreal.
The mountain top finish line, at the base of the iconic North Face no less, was made possible only due to the support and endless encouragement of @magicplacescycling. This race truly isn’t a solo effort.
😂 #swissman#suixtri#triathlon#kajotriathlon
