This Saturday 12/15 Common Ground will be in our #gfmcares @bnbbank community corner. Make sure you stop down and support this great cause. .
-Common Ground is a joint project between Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (Greenport) and The Church of the Redeemer (Mattituck), Common Ground seeks to end food insecurity on the North Fork by providing food to those in need. Led by The Rev. Roger Joslin, and in partnership with @treiberfarms and Episcopal Ministries of Long Island, we have planted a 1/4 acre garden to provide fresh, healthy food to nourish the bodies and souls of those who are hungry. We welcome all as volunteers to assist with growing, harvesting and distribution..
. -We would be very grateful if you could request that people bring the following items for a food drive conducted by Holy Trinity and Redeemer Churches: -Food Pantry Grocery List:
white rice, dried black beans, dried pinto beans, pasta, cereal, tuna fish, sardines, vegetable oil, cans of mixed vegetables, canned fruit.
Thank you for participating in Saturday’s Polar Bear Plunge at Cooper’s Beach! We’ve held the Plunge every December for 15 years, to raise funds for our local charity, Heart of the Hamptons. This year we had 319 registered plungers and 400-50 people in attendance in support of Heart of the Hamptons! Thank you so much for coming out!
We were able to raise $87,026 and counting. The money goes directly to help local people in need.
Special thanks to all 120 of the students, faculty, staff, and everyone that came out from the local schools!
Local people helping local people; that’s what it’s all about. Heart of the Hamptons could not do all that it does without your support.
