Meet our first ever #BarStar - Kimberly!
She is a devoted client since way back in our community class days. We love that she always gives 110% & works so hard - and has the best facial expressions in class to prove it 🤣. While she was away on a European cruise, she even got in some thigh work! Keep reading for a Q&A with Kimberly.
Q: When did you take your first @thebarmethod class?
A: I took my first Bar Method class about 1 year ago when they were offering the community classes. I was immediately drawn to this workout!
Q: What do you love about The Bar Method?
A:There is so much that I love about The Bar Method. I am truly amazed over the effectiveness of the workout. It absolutely lengthens & creates lean muscle mass. I never imagined a low impact workout to be so incredibly effective!
Q: What changes have you seen - physical or mental since starting The Bar Method?
A: I have seen a tremendous change in my body since I started the Bar Method about 4 months ago. I've toned areas that I have never been able to target, my core & back are so much stronger, and overall, I feel great! I feel much more focused & my energy level has increased.
Q: What is your favorite Bar Method exercise?
A: My favorite Bar Method exercise would have to be "Narrow V" & "Diamond” thigh work. They are very challenging and effective exercises; my legs start shaking immediately. When the muscle you are working is fully engaged & you feel like you can't possibly keep going, I find that it helps to breathe and stay focused. That's when the instructor motivates you and says "that is your muscle changing.”
Q: What is your favorite mantra, motto or quote that gets you through class?
A: "This is where the magic happens" & "You are boosting your metabolism and will be burning calories all day!" They aren't kidding!
a fair field full of folk: we spent three days in suffolk bouncing between our camping ground of tall grass & wild thistle and two different seaside villages. this was my first time camping since the last mandatory school trip in 1998, and it was always going to be better than that since i knew no one would make me do a trust fall or exclude me from spin the bottle (ha!), but i was not prepared for the bliss of this past weekend. funnily enough, one of the high points (along with s’mores and roasting sausages over a sweet-smelling birch fire) was when we came upon a little mole burrowing through the field at about 9 in the evening, and all the children at the camp came running to watch the twitching grass and see who could spot his tiny pink nose poking out first.
