Anyone landing at the Goa International Airport is sure to notice these large photographs by artist (and Museum of Goa founder) Subodh Kerkar. Was @miamatangi influenced by these works in the creation of the Borders video? #sourcefile#airportart#goa#india#subodhkerkar
#chilies 🌶 in #museumofgoa#subodhkerkar .
Lovely art piece at the Goa airport and #MOG .
Chili became the indispensable spice in European cuisines and it became popular in Portuguese. In 1498, the Portuguese explorer Vasco-da-Gama reached Indian shores bringing with him the pungent spice. .
Today, it is unimaginable to think of India cuisine without the hot spice, chili. India has become world’s largest producer and exporter of chili. .

Museum de Goa. Curated by subodh kerkar. Predominantly housing his own work. These photos are of his 3-D pieces. Phenomenal power to so many it is just wonderful to walk around the galleries. Especially nice today as we bumped into the artist himself and had a brief conversation with him. The opening photo is of a huge star and screen wall all constructed from dyed old water bottles. Just so striking. 300 rupees to visit it's worth it. Just wish that they had a season ticket as it's a place that deserves more than one look. Even Mike, our philistine visitor, was moved by the experience. #thegoangrandpa#goa#museumdegoya#subodhkerkar#subodhkerkarartgallery
Almost everybody would have been to Goa..it's that popular a holiday destination. But have you been to the #museumofgoa ? It showcases the history of Goa through contemporary art and how?!!! If you go to Goa make sure to visit this place. #contemporaryart by #artist#SubodhKerkar will blow your mind. Loved his work though I have never really been a fan of contemporary #art ...I think the gap is in my understanding. This year I plan to educate myself on understanding contemporary art. Any suggestions on books would be welcome.
