The Tobias Wingback | Pattern on pattern on pattern with our new Blue/Pink Phulkari + Ikat Sari edition.
For this version, we dressed the Tobias in a blue, printed cotton Sari, coupled with a predominantly pink Andhra Ikat; hot pink and blue Phulkari accent the wings + lumbar cushion with drama.
The chair is finished with pop stripes on the seat that marry the colours together, especially the smattering of orange in both Saris.
Not our most colourful offering, however, certainly the most ambitious.
Happy Monday Lovelies ❤ I'm excited to be back in the studio today! This last month has been a rollercoaster of a ride as we packed up the house and farm and made the move from our dusty little Kalahari home to the craggy mountains of the Karoo Heartland. It's actually snowing in the passes around us, and we're just waiting for it to start here — it certainly feels like it tonight.
These last few weeks of not actively being surrounded by designs, paper samples, illustrations, paints, and all the pretty amazing things I get to work with has given me such an insight into how much I absolutely LOVE doing what I do, and how blessed I am to have the opportunity to work a career that I feel so passionately about. It's not an opportunity that many people get to have, and I'm so, so grateful for it ☀
So here I am, sorting out print samples and organizing my new studio, waiting for it to start snowing while the fireplace in the next room crackles delightfully, and I'm feeling abundantly grateful for you all. Thank you for
staying with me through the quiet times and the busy times ❤
P.s. I can't wait to show you Loves what I've been working on 😉
Today's feature is Kenneth Nondo; A digital artist and cartoonist who loves drawing anime and has a great appreciation for Japanese art and ancient African cave art.
Fun fact: "I use a mouse to create my digital drawings, I have never used a tablet."
Happy New Week!🌞 Welcome to #StudioMondays . 🎨
Today's feature is @lazarinart, who loves to experiment with different kinds of ideas through her paintings and let her mind run wild but absolutely enjoys abstract paintings.
Fun Fact: "The longer I stay with a peice, the more damage I can cause (😂) because I never really feel like a piece is complete; every time I look at it I always want to add a detail. So I always advise my clients to always pick up my pieces on time or else!" @lazarinart
15years ago, i was dreaming of having a small bedroom studio, where i can make my ideas and interest in music.🎶 i don't know how to play any instruments and so frustrated of the fact that i can't even buy my own
guitar.🎸 along the way, people will always tell negativities and
criticism.❓ learning was endless. life have taught me so much and i have learned that things happens to keep our lives moving to another pace.👣 i tried hard and prayed hard. 🙏
one day, i woke up and realized that i was never dreaming anymore. i was struggling but this time i am living my vision. 😅
